This is a great adjustable workout bench. The back can be fully adjusted to various angles, although it requires some effort to do so. Also, this is a decline bench and so the seat is non-adjustable and is fixed at an angle. I use this bench for working out my abs, triceps and lats. This bench serves the purpose very well and the build quality of this product is very good for the price.
Only complaint is that the plastic caps that hold the foam pads in place are too large of diameter and can pinch your legs on the side when foam is slightly compressed. I removed them on mine. Other than that, great bench.
For the price, this is a great product! It took some assembly, but that's fine. Be sure you have both a socket wrench and pliers or two socket wrenches so you can tighten the bolts. Sturdy and already expanding the exercises I am able to do. Instructions are fine, be sure to read every line. I have a tendency to skip lines and assume, but it's best you don't. Free shipping was a huge plus!
Kate and I bought the Gold's Gym Utility Bench to complete our workout room after we bought the Nordic track elliptical 990 Pro (incidentally they both are made by the same company - ICON Health & Fitness, Inc.). Both are incredibly well designed and solidly built. Had one minor issue putting the bench together. One of the four screw bolts that holds the adjustable, padded back rest just spun around and wouldn't tighten. I called ICON Service and they sent me a new one in 4 days - wonderful customer service. We highly recommend this product.
Great price, solid piece of equipment, and easy to assemble, following well-written instructions. So, all-in-all an excellent value. I downgraded it on "Meets Expectations" because I thought, from the online and on the package descriptions, that this bench could lie flat. But no; it's a slant bench. It can be called "flat" only if completely reclined (with blood rushing to your head, or your head on the seat, and your feet on the floor.) It suits my purpose for most of the exercises in my program (i.e., seated or incline presses, flyes, and rows) but not for those really requiring a flat bench (e.g., a chest press or overhead tricep pull-over). Partly my fault for not researching the product.
Absolutely great little home workout bench. Only thing they should change is the puller cushions that go under your knees as you sit down. They are not long enough to support the back of the knee, too small and not cushiony enough. Otherwise I love it.
I have been scouting for a decline/flat/incline bench for a reasonable price. Surprisingly they're not too easy to come by without forking over a lot of cash. I was skeptical that the quality of a bench from Wal-Mart would fall under the category of "you get what you pay for", but for $50 that included a medicine ball of my choice (up to 12#) and free shipping, I am super glad I went with this product! It was a nice surprise. The bench is quite comfortable and is used for our at home workouts. It's a great size for adults. Granted if you are a large individual and tuck your ankles under the lower leg pads it will probably be snug. The seat is slanted and nonadjustable but it doesn't affect anything. It's quite nice for decline and flat positions. When putting the bench together, if you are a beginner or lack physical strength I would recommend having someone help you. Putting the pieces together isn't difficult at all if you are familiar with 'gym' equipment. However, you must tighten all the bolts when you are done and even though I am very fit I still needed my husband's help for that part. Overall this is a fantastic product for beginner or advance. If you are a beginner you may find the included workout that comes with the bench useful.
Good for the money spent. Got it for 54 $. It good and Sturdy. Only issue I face is the small seat which is tilted so it is bit slippery otherwise good and Sturdy bench.
First of all this bench will not go flat all the way. I am 6'4 240lbs and my legs can not fit under the feet holders, so my legs have to just hang over the inclined part of the bench which is not so good. i am not that happy with it and I am going to try to return it to the store without box..wish me luck.
After spending 2 hours assembling this bench, it was discovered that the manufacturer failed to drill a critical hole in the frame to hold the incline adjustment pin thus rendering the bench unusable. It was then necessary to dissemble the bench in order to return it to Walmart. Very disappointed that such a quality failure was allowed to escape the manufacturer.
