Wellness CORE Healthy Weight Pate Adult Canned Wet Dog Food, Grain Free, Natural, 12.5 oz, Pack of 12 Cans

My canine is not itching as much as previously so it's my thinking that this grain free wet food has helped a lot. A vet will prescribe steroids however I prefer prevention naturally (when possible). This food does cost more and in my opinion naturally correcting problems is better than the side effects prescriptions will cause

My Leonberger has always been fed high quality dry dog food and has maintained a consistent weight and energy level for 12 years, but during his last checkup he had lost about 5 pounds of muscle mass which besides his age, I attributed this to his recent lack of interest in eating. He knows he's part of the family and when we sat down to eat, he'd go to his bowl and eat too, but he started eating less so I wanted to add an incentive for him to eat more by mixing wet food in with the dry. He's still loves his long walks and chasing squirrels around the yard so I wanted to make sure he was getting enough nutrition and calories as well as drinking plenty of water to support his level of activity. I researched many brands and Wellness Core always came out on top with regard to nutritional value for older dogs. It costs quite a bit more than other canned dog foods, but if you compare the ingredients you'll see that it's worth it. It has a paté like consistency versus brands that have meat chunks and gravy, so it takes about a minute to mix in half a can with about 2 cups of dry food but that allows it to stick to the dry food better and keeps him from eating too fast.

All 3 of my dogs absolutely love this food!! Does actually smell like its fish products and not just another can of dog food. Since feeding them this food, their coats have improved and less SHEDDING!

so far so good with this dog food now dog has a lot of allergies and stomach issues so this is been working out pretty good for her

This dog food is a go to when we want to give our dog a break from his regular food. Our dog loves this food. It has a good texture.

We have used wellness since we first brought home our Lucifer Morning Star aka Louie. In 2007 we lost our Maximillian Zappa Joy aka Zappa to the Melamine poisoning. WELLNESS was one of the very few brands of the tens of thousands that was NOT involved with this awful loss. Wellness has gone above and beyond maintaining a five star level of product. The few times that second hand parties have mishandled their products and I have made them aware. They have taken it with extreme concern. I love this brand and wouldn't consider changing it ever. Louie has maintained a perfect 45-50 lb weight for 14.9 years.

Like wellness and the ingredients of this pate. If I'm going to feed canned dog food, there are several wellness brands I like better than other brands. Dog likes it also. It has lower calories than 400 calorie cans. That's too much for this dog and this one mixed with other canned food that is strictly chicken makes a good healthy calorie count without going too low.

5 of the can were dented. This is the third time I have had this issue. I will not order this product again because to receive a refund is time consuming. Walmart cannot issue your refund, even when you take time to bring the dented cans to the store.. Now I have to contact the company.
