WEN Magnetic Oil Dipstick for Inverter Generators (compatible with WEN, Yamaha, Predator)

I got this magnetic dipstick for use in a Predator 5000 Inverter generator. The fit was great. I ran the generator for an hour and so far there has been no significant metallic wear for the dipstick to attract. However, some reviews of this product indicate the magnetic falls out while in use. I have not noticed this so far. I believe this is a useful tool to help remove internal engine wear particles and will continue to use it.

I have several things around the house with gas. Engines like generators and lawnmowers so I bought several of these. They have many different sizes of these magnetic dipsticks which is nice because I was able to buy for each engine, and they were all different. The magnets work really well in picking up tiny pieces of metal in the oil, and over time, they pick up less and less as they clean up the debris. Also, when you get rid of the engine or sell it, put the old dip stick in and use this one on your next engine. They do fit the engines very well, also.

I will give one star because NO ONE READS high Stars. Picky customers pay attention. I think this unit is best in its class. About 3 months searching, reading, watching video records. MY BEST ADVICE to you don't shirt cut starting rules. 0ne by one follow steps. This generator will start one pul. If don't don't try second with maybe because it is cold. Check your steps what did you forget? Here is extra few bonus. Don't rush to push back choke lever do it slowly. Same as ECO button say 5 min depends weather temperature. Use AUTO SHOT OFF and don't forget to turn off gas cap vent and ECO. Good luck with your best choice.

The magnet fell out somewhere inside the engine! Bought this with the new generator in hopes of extending it's life. Instead I now question when it will self destruct when this magnet finds its way where it shouldn't. The magnet fits into a machined pocket in the end of the dipstick. I assumed it was crimped or epoxied in place to lock it in. I should have added my own epoxy but you expect a manufacturer to supply a quality product for the money. Do not buy, or make darn sure you secure the magnet yourself!! I would like a refund.

Seller did not ship item for a week with no explanation. Another week to arrive. This is NOT acceptable.
