WEN Products 1.4-Amp Variable Speed Rotary Tool with Cutting Guide, LED Collar, 100+ Accessories, Carrying Case and Flex Shaft

I put this rotary tool through alot of abuse. It was 1 of 2 tools I used to mill an 80% lower AR-15 receiver made of 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. It was a time intensive and painful process. With no access to a milling machine due to Covid-19 social distancing restrictions, I was forced to use the tools I had available. The rotary tool performed very well. It cut through the aluminum like a butter knife through a frozen stick of butter, which is very good with all things considered. I broke a few milling bits in the process due to the small diameter of the bit and excessive pressure from my perodic impatience with the project. The rotary tool itself had plenty of power and never got close to overheating. After compleating the project it is still in perfect working order. Overall it is a well engineered tool and a great addition to my tool collection.

I cannot believe the bargain I got when I purchased this fantastic set. It is of great quality with so many features you can't go wrong. The flex shaft is long enough and easy enough to attach. Plenty of bits, pads, etc. Easy to operate.

First: Grease the flex shaft prior to use and keep it well greased. Otherwise it will not last. This is normal for all brands. Great deal! Works well for for small woodworking detail and lots of other projects. Still going strong after 6 months of heavy use. Replaced another brand that burned up after third use. Has plenty of power and useful accessories. Very happy with this set.

Get the job done. Could use a little more power but for the price it's ankle tackle small projects easily.

Nice case and sturdy rotary tool. Well worth the money. Just as good as that other well known name brand.

I grabbed the WEN 1.4‑Amp Variable Speed Rotary Tool for some small projects around the house, and it's honestly been great. Was hoping this would carve out my stenciled kitty but doesn’t work like I thought. Did try several bits and also one of the pointed grinding bit, it worked like burning into the wood and smoked. I played with it some but wasn’t at all what I thought or was hoping for. Thankfully I practiced on a scrape piece of wood.

Had problems since day one, flex shaft didnt work had to oil inside myself for it to work. Havent used it maybe 2 or 3 times and the speed control quit working.

i used it twice and the second time i used it it burned up on me, i contacted the compay many times and they dont respond.
