I like all the features %26 all as expected except the battery backup feature works internally…So if we lose power the clock would keep the time… but you wouldnt be able to see the time work… its there just so when u plug it back in, the time is still set Too bad though because it really is a cute lil' clock to use with battery only but it works perfectly as advertised. I read some other reviews that it humms but mine is quiet so if you get it check it out right away all the features. Personally though, i love it.
Certainly happy to have purchased this with the price offered in the sales. The sunset option is as good as a thirty minute visual alarm. The red led lighted numbers are easy to read from snywhere in my small room. It is an electric clock with a backup feature that requires two triple A batteries which helps in a power failure. Time will be true when power returns. The Alarm is persistent.
I rarely need to set an alarm since retiring but I do like to get up at the same time every day. This was on sale so I got it to try around daylight savings change and it works great. Even if the alarm comes on, it starts very low like a cricket and isn't jarring at all. It's easy to see in the dark, and when the light starts, it is very low. I really like this clock.
I love this clocks features. The sunrise/sunset has felt good the times Ive used it. I still havent got use to it having sunset so i need to work on uaing it more. The alarm isnt the standard annoying kind, an easier sound to wake up to. Nosw the downfalls. This version has a constant pretty loud hum that is annoying to try to sleep to. The clock part has 3 bright/dim options. Mine doesnt stay on dim so i have to adjust it every night.
I got this for a gift but found it to be so-so in functionality, so I returned it. What I liked: This is a cute little clock that's fairly simple to use. It also automatically dims the time display between certain hours, so you don't have to. What I didn't like: The alarm sound was pretty low and couldn't be adjusted. The sunset feature was a white light that gradually dimmed until out. The sunrise didn't even wake me up because it wasn't very bright. To get the best use of this clock someone would have to be sleeping in a completely dark room with the clock very close to their head.
The sunset feature is limited and there is no schedule or even a sunrise. It is a dimmer with a timer. The light from the display is too bright and resets itself even after dimming it. The digits are not clear.
Not only did I find this product very unintuitive to use, it's not even as bright as an iPhone flashlight. People compare it to a nightlight, which seems roughly accurate to me. What's worse, the red glow of the numbers that is on at all times *is* quite bright and can easy keep me from sleeping, especially since you want to locate the alarm quite near your face so that the light wakes you up in the morning. Honestly this just wasn't a better experience than using my phone's alarm.
Looks nothing like the picture. feels very light and cheap. battery backup is useless as the light and time stop displaying while on battery mode, but the time is saved. I expected the sun feature to remain on all day and fade out at night. instead it only starts 30 min before alarm and you have to manually turn on before bed and it fades out over 30 min.
This clock is useless for the advertised purposes. The idea is fine (there have been successful incandescent clocks like this for years) - the problem is with the shoddy implementation. There are three brightness settings on the LED clock display - if you choose the dimmest (because you want your bedroom dark at night), after a few hours it switches back to bright. And the "sunrise" feature is completely useless - it literally starts out at about 50% brightness - so it's basically like someone turned on a light instead of light gradually coming up from nothing (I suspect this is an inherent problem with all cheap LED designs). Splurge for a Philips if you really want a wake-up light - this is fine as a cheap clock, but nothing more than that.
wirst alqrm clock ever. Do not waste your money. theres no yellow sunrise At All, just white light that doesnt even show on tge wall. The sunset never comes up the light just dims down. The ALARM IS SO LOW YOU CAN BARELY HEAR IT. OMG !!! SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY. I will be returning this and please dont waste your money. Bjg disappointment !!!
