Westinghouse 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner & Dehumidifier with Remote & Smart App, up to 550 Sq Ft

I bought this unti based on reviews, I wasn't dissapointed, set up was easy, the instrructions are clear and easy to follow. This WP unit cooled by 10' x 12' fairly quickly. I wanted to be prepared for the dog days of summer and now I feel like I'm ready!!!!

Pros: Shipping was fast(considering where I live), Unit arrived without damage and with all parts. The setup was easy. I've had and used this unit for three weeks. It has operated non-stop during the daytime and off and overnight. It cools very well. Cons: I wish the exhaust hose were longer but I read that a longer hose can affect cooling performance.

This was purchased for a bedroom. I wasn't expecting it to be so loud. I can hear it from across the hall with both doors shut. On the plus side, it does cool down the room to a frosty 69 🥶. Would I buy again? Absolutely. However, not for a bedroom.

My daughter was certainly happy to get this for her apartment. She lives in an older building without central air. She tells me it does work pretty good, just not great. It's a bit louder than she'd anticipated, as well. The set up wasn't too bad. It's easy to operate. I was leaning towards a 5 star and she a 3, so we met in the middle at 4 stars.

I bought this product a week ago. I have used it for several days now and it cools very well. It has both remote control and control panel functions. I have used many of those functions so far and it responds well and operates as it should. I particularly like the Smart Mode as it is obviously an energy saving function. It also has a Sleep function which is a good feature for nights that are still cool. It also seems to help eliminate odors in the air such as from neighboring apartments if you live in an apartment building like I do. The only issue I have experienced was getting the exhaust tubing set up. One end wasn't quite smooth enough to enable one of the parts to hook onto it. Otherwise it was fairly easy to set up and get going. I look forward to seeing how well it keeps me comfortable once summer is in full mode.

So far, so good. It's more compact than my previous portable air conditioner. It was received timely, packed well, and seems sturdy. Installation was simple. Just waiting for heating season, which doesn't usually start too early in Maine.

Bought this expecting to be complete. Selling information did not express the size window this fits WITHOUT the need for extra parts. We needed a extra vent mounting piece about 6" long. Most companies do supply with their units an additional extension. Had to order part sight unseen ( no photos at parts site) then wait for shipment to arrive.

Not really able to review, as the product was missing the window vent kit, so I haven't turned it on yet.

westinghouse sent out a pre open package, that was completely damaged. they tried playing the "it was shipping" game. for 6 days. then finally replaced it with.. drumroll please.... another broken unit!! If you don't know how an ac works the damage is ok, but not when I know the fins do a lot of the cooling, and a new product shouldnt have bent and broken fins. also they keep telling me to run it and because it's broken doesn't mean it won't do its job. like yes correct but not when I measured the room it's in and I need it at it's max. the fins being broken literally lowers the cool rate. and "just because it's broken doesn't mean it won't run" is not good advice from customer support. where's the support??? They want you to run and kill it so they don't have to replace it from the warranty. cause then they'll count it as user fault. Walmart should cancel all partnership with them. first pic is first unit, second is second.

I expected this air conditioner to cool our lanai. It is a 200 square foot room and our wall unit was fine but was leaking so decided to get this 12000 btu portable air conditioner that should have been able to handle this room. Very very disappointed. I put a thermometer on it and it’s 79 degrees in here, when it should be 70 degrees.
