Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Dark Wine

This review is for the color 536A Dark Wine. I absolutely love it , I have been searching for a replacement that was similar / close in color to one that I had used for years which has been discontinued. I happened to see this Wet n Wild brand and seeing it online the color looked similar and being less than a dollar what did I have to lose. I received it and WOW ! I was totally shocked , it is almost exact to what I had been using for years and it goes on smooth. I had to go out today for an appointment so I applied it , Looked great , felt great and I swear to you it lasted all day. I feel it moisturized my lips as they feel softer tonight as I write this review. Oh, did I mention I received several compliments on my appearance while out and about , was it the lips ? Maybe .. They did look pretty darn awesome. LOL ! Great lipstick at a super price a definite winner and beautiful color. More : The color is not quite as dark as it appears online but I would call it a med. wine and it's not a matte it has some silkiness to it as it glides on.

Wet and Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Dark Pink Frost is a beautiful shade of pink with a shimmery frost. The finish is satin which makes older mature lips look youthful and plump. Matte lipsticks on mature lips look dry and shows every crease lip line and texture of the lips whereas satin finish lipsticks do not show the things we are trying to avoid at our age. I have to reapply occasionally based on how much I eat or drink but I do not mind this as my lips look so much better with the satin finish.

This color has been a staple for many years now. I'm still using the first one I bought 5 years ago and it still performs like day one. It's the perfect medium toned mauve and compliments many of my makeup looks. The formula is Amazing especially for the price! It's creamy and very moisturizing. It's a standard lipstick so it won't stay on all day like a liquid lipstick but for a standard lipstick it's one of the best. The description on this product is spot on ...why would you pay more when you don't have to.

I was at one of those dollar type stores and bought this exact lipstick. Got home and found it on Walmart for less money. I have a very light complexion with dark brown hair (lots of gray too) and am an older woman. But I love to wear makeup so that I feel better about myself. This shade is perfect for me. It does go on feeling silky and is such a pretty color. It is a wine color and darker, but not the darkest shade of wine. Feels good on my lips. After I applied the lipstick it was close to dinner time and I was at home, so I wiped off the lipstick with tissues. As hard as I wiped, it still left a color to my lips that was so pretty. I was surprised. So if I am out somewhere I won't have to keep reapplying the lip color. And there is another plus to this lipstick: it is NOT tested on animals. I am very pleased and I will be buying more of this brand in different colors. I am poor and have to really budget my money. And getting this lipstick for under a dollar at Walmart just makes me feel happy.

My 95 year old mother has been buying wet and wild lipstick since it came on the market in 1979....I buy it in bulk so she is never without...Its so nice to have her color on hand without searching the stores ... ...she wears it every day and has it within her reach at all times. This is the only lipstick I wear. The shade is usually sold out in stores that sell Wet and Wild. The shade is perfect for every season and outfit. It is moisturizing too! Please keep making this shade and color and including moisturizer Wet and Wild! Thank you for selling online!

The dark wine is a beautiful deep berry color and it does have a silk finish which makes my lips look fuller. I checked it in the mirror after eating and it stayed put pretty well, and also left a nice stain that lasted for hours. Loving this!

I bought this lipstick because it was exactly the color I needed to go with a specific outfit for an event, but when I wiped the tiniest bit that got on my skin it didn't wipe off!! Instead it made a streak mark from the corner of my mouth down to my lower lip and immediately stained my skin. Worst of all it was impossible to remove!! After trying several methods of removal I ended up having to cover the stain with extra concealer, and even then it was still noticeable. It took almost 2 whole days for that smudged red stain to fade. The color is gorgeous, but I doubt I will ever use it again.

Not even remotely close to the color shown even with the try it on feature. It's very pink
