Whitney Farms Organic Potting Soil for Container Gardens, 1 Cu. ft.

I use this to grow cat grass as I don't want to have any chemicals in the soil. It is a great product to grow the grass. No bugs or mildew issues on the soil.

This is not what I originally ordered, but they were out of the one I usually get. I love this soil and so do my plants.They are doing so well.I will definitely order it again.

I spent the day repotting plants and I am so happy with the quality of their organic soil. The delivery guy Jose was right on time and very polite and helpful. The price was way lower than expected so I tipped the best I could. Very nice experience.

The Whitney Farms Organic Potting Soil, 8 qt is really good soil. My father was an avid gardener and loved growing things well. He always used potting soil and taught me that potting soils are not all the same. I buy potting soil that feels good between my fingers. Pop always said "it should feel silky between your fingers". It should give nutrients to the plant bed, but don't forget about the worms, they need to glide on silky earth so they can do their jobs. The Whitney Farms Organic Potting Soil, is just that. It provides moist nutrients for the plants, the plant bed and the worms. My father would love Whitney Farms Organic Potting Soil and he would be proud that his daughter finally found her urge to grow. I recommend the Whitney Farms Organic Potting Soil, to all gardeners, beginners and/or or pros. I think you will like it.

The potting soil works well. No bad odor. Breaks up easily but holds moisture pretty well. I've purchased twice so gar and will again.

I love that it's organic, but it has too many wood pieces. Also, it's hard to get this delivered from my local store...half of the time, it ends up being cancelled. This last bag arrived ripped and taped shut. A couple of years ago, it was arriving with fungus gnats, but I've not had that issue with it this year. It's also on the pricey side for the size/amount.

very cool for Walmart sent the organic potting soil to my door, soil just a bit light weight so every time i water my plants, they kind of float away a bit

I really liked this for growing my produce. I bought one bag originally and it was pretty chunky. They were out of the other brand I liked so I ordered again and those 2 bags were much better. Must of just been an off batch.

Good stuff! I ahve used in the past and continue to reorder as needed; a good mix of regular soil and this potting mix works well in pots and in ground. Warning! Watch the pricing and size of bag you choose; similar brand is over priced for 8 quarts or 1/3 a cubic foot; a 1 cu ft bag was less. WM trickery!

This was the first time I used this brand and I'm so glad I tried it out. I bought 2 bags of this organic soil for my small flower trees. The soil is lightweight, fairly loose, and does not have any "extras" in it that you will find with other brands (I'm looking at your Miracle Grow). My plants are thriving so far and I love the rich dark color. This soil is a good all around soil for plants in planters or pots. It also deters smaller insects as the ingredients in this organic soil are probably higher quality than again, the other conventional brands. I plan on buying more of this soil in the future.
