The blending of the three different ages of Wild Turkey at barrel proof makes this a great tasting higher proof version of WT and it tastes great. Easily available and reasonably priced, it is a definite shelf keeper.

I find Rare Breed to be an outstanding Bourbon. In the $55-60 price range it is unbeatable. Great flavor profile, strong finish and just a "beast". A real tribute to the Russell's and the Wild Turkey Distillery. I plan to visit this summer. I honestly can't wait!

Rare Breed has a bold flavor, but not overpowering. Great neat, or with a big ball of ice. I drink it on a regular basis, but not quite daily. It makes a nice gift to give to a friend who is wanting to step up to the next level from a beginner bourbon taster.

Made the 1st bottle my daily it is so delicious. This bottle offers a great value for a very good flavor, viscosity is good, and the finish is nicely balanced with the oak sweetness and the rye spice. The balance makes it drink under its proof making it dangerously crushable.

Delicious everyday pour if you are like me and really enjoy the higher proof bourbon and ryes. This bottle is always priced well and delivers in all aspects. The only difficult decision is picking between the bourbon or the rye. Most of the time I just buy both and take turns 🤣

This is a bottle that I always makes sure is on my shelf. A fantastic value for its price. Classic Bourbon and Wild Turkey tasting notes. Notes of Vanilla, caramelized sugar, baking spices, toasted oak, and that Wild Turkey rye spice. Good enough to hang with other bourbons that cost twice as much, but inexpensive enough to be a daily sipper. It's a must have.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is one of my favorite bourbons on the shelf. It has a great balance of caramel, vanilla, oak, and spice, with plenty of flavor without being overly harsh. For a barrel-proof bourbon, it drinks surprisingly smooth and has a long, satisfying finish. Excellent value for the price and a bottle I always try to keep stocked.

I stumbled upon this out of curiosity. Its a mix(ture) or blend of 6, 8 and 12 year stocks hence the "rare" tag because that is not an everyday occurrence.
