Mini pro status

Patrick April 4, 2026

If you have a kid who's just starting to get into tennis, this Wilson Roger Federer 25 is basically the "gold standard" for a first racket. It's specifically sized for that 9-to-10-year-old sweet spot, and honestly, the best part is how light it feels. Thanks to the AirLite Alloy, it weighs in at only about 7.9 oz, so they won't be complaining about their wrist hurting after twenty minutes of drills. It comes pre-strung, which is a huge plus because you can take it straight from the box to the local park. The head size is pretty generous at 95 sq in, giving them a bigger "sweet spot" so they actually hit the ball instead of just air. It's definitely not going to give them the precision of a high-end $200 graphite frame, but for a junior "recreational" racket, it's built to be tough. It even has a bumper guard at the top to handle the inevitable scrapes against the court. It looks sharp, too—having that "Pro Staff" aesthetic makes any kid feel like a mini-pro. It's a low-pressure, high-fun way to see if they actually like the sport before you drop big money on pro gear.

Nice grip, color and good for beginners

Rj November 25, 2025

This is a good racket for beginners. It has nice grip and my son able to hold it comfortably. He jus started with his tennis lessons and he is happy with this racket. It is solid and sturdy. It is light in weight and attractive color. It came in a neat package and delivered it on time. It has good length and size. We can hit the ball more accurately with this racket. It is made with good quality material and it is durable.

High quality wilson racket

Perfect racket length for my 7 year old son, super light weight and durable, amazing build quality, tight strong strings, great hitting power. Couldn't ask for anything better, definitely a top quality Wilson racket.

Get Playing

Junior racket that's already strung, can't ask for more for $20. Check to see that it's not too long before buying. Junior tennis balls are needed too so they don't bounce too high during rallies.

Value for money

anonymous October 13, 2025

Perfect size. The racket is good for beginner kids as it provides good balance of control and power but thats about it. The grip is okay and design is fine, but nothing extraordinary. Overall the quality seems good for the price, but have to wait to see the durability.

Good beginner racket

Yen October 19, 2025

Purchased for my soon to be 9 yo who just started playing tennis. We've only used it a few times but so far, no complaints. It's light and seems to be sturdy and should hold up nicely. Very well priced ($17) as it was almost twice as much at Amazon and Dicks.
