I had two bread pans and one was glass and the other was a heavy metal. Seemed that when letting bread raise, the metal one was better and it was a Wilton pan. I did a search and found that Wal Mart had them. So, I went to our local Super Wal Mart and got one. Great pans. They have some weight to them and are very good in my opinion. Going to remember the name and if we need to buy any other baking pans, we will get Wilton.
Very well made, sturdy, and a very reasonable price. They'll probably outlive me. The research I did into this brand showed they are free of the dangerous chemicals used in some non-stick bakeware which was important to me. I'll buy more if I find I need more and I'll be sticking with this brand if I need any other bakeware.
I needed a new loaf pan and decided to buy this one after reading the reviews. Also notice the material used in the manufacturing of this product, which is very important to me.
I chose this pan because of the name Wilton. For decades I have trusted in that name and I was not disappointed with this pan! It is non-stick and a full-size loaf pan. The heat conduction is great, no hot spots.
We had ordered Wilton Bread Pans ... they arrived promptly, and they are Fantastic !! They are made from heavy duty steel construction with a non stick coating. We bake breads and these pans will be perfect. Wilton products are known for Quality and at Wal-Mart prices ... how can you go wrong ?? We absolutely recommend this Brand Name and these Pans. And od course, with everyday low prices ... We Love Wal-Mart !!
I'm getting pretty good results out of this. It definitely cooks better than the pan I used before and the non-stick is very effective. Almost zero effort to get anything out of it. I also got a bit of the discoloration others have mentioned. I was careful to make sure it didn't stay wet long enough to rust just to be sure. I can definitely tell that even though it's a rust-like color it isn't actually rust. I think maybe it's the non-stick coating getting affected by the heat, but it seems to be harmless as far as I can tell. None of the coating flakes off or anything, so it should still be safe.
One of the pans I ordered showed a discolored heat spot inside the bottom of the pan. I was baking banana bread and the oven was only at 350 Degrees F. ,as per the recipe.
Description misleading...Multipack leads you to believe there is more than 1 for the price. 1 pan for 11 92 is a bit steep. :(
I bought 4 of these pans, and two of them had rust underneath the edges. At first I thought nothing of it, and that I could easily wash it off. I washed them by hand, and thought I took care of the issue. I bought these because they were dishwasher safe and affordable. I put them in the dishwasher, and there was rust water all over the place. I really wish I would've returned these pans instead of thinking the rust issue would go away because now all 4 pans have rusted within a short period of time. Sometimes going the more affordable route isn't the way to go.
I've had other Wilton bakeware and had no issues, these loaf pans are HORRIBLE! I wash and dried them, baked some bread all was fine. When I washed them after ONE use, I noticed some discoloration- they have rusted!!! This is rather upsetting, total waste of money. Save your money and buy stainless steel and use parchment paper or get some USA pans from Amazon.
