I'll admit, I didn't have high hopes given the price - but this cookie press is terrific. I made Quick Mix Spritz cookies which have a soft batter and they were absolutely perfect. I'm so excited to make more.
Good product, easy to used.perfect cookies
I've had a number of these in the past, so I knew what to expect while this one is almost entirely made of plastic. It is just as sturdy as the metal ones that I have. I got this one because I liked that it had the snowman and turkey options. A tip for all the people having a hard time make sure you use a Cold grease free pan to press the cookies onto anything warm or greasy and they will not stick.

Overall, I'd say it gets the job done! I had a bit of trouble with the shapes, but I also messed up the recipe so that could have been a contributor. Cookie press was easy to fill: The instructions suggested rolling the dough into a log to help load the press, but I made balls of dough to drop in the press and think that was easier. Easy to take apart and clean. Good variety of shapes for the cookies. Overall pretty pleased. I will probably only use it a few times per year, so a simple plastic press is sufficient for my needs.
You get what you pay for. This was a low priced cookie press that could be delivered the same day. I was able to make great cookies with it, but not without some struggling. The problem is that the press uses a click system meaning you can't just press freely you have to sort of press until it clicks, and then you monkey with it and have to press again. According to the instructions "one click is one cookie".... Sometimes it is. Other times one click is about a quarter inch of dough... so you have to retighten it and press again. I got used to it. these cookie presses are always kind of a pain but this one did work well enough and the cookies were really pretty.
This is my second Wilton cookie press in 6 years. Love the design and ease of use (be sure to read the instructions if you're new to using a cookie press to get some key info), and that all parts are dishwasher safe. Love the designs available. Wish some of the materials were a little more durable. I got a new one this year because I got a hairline split in the screw on collar under the handle rendering it unusable (the dough kept popping out of the tube). I can see that my new one will eventually have the same issue. Wish this screw on collar was made of a stronger substance, plastic or metal. My mom always made these cookies with us when I was a kid (in the 50'd %26 60's!) - her press was made of metal and she had it her whole life. But even if it breaks again I will replace as my family always gobbles up the “spritz” cookies first. The buttery cookies are a just the right size, fun for kids to decorate and you can fill a whole tray very quickly.
so this is missing a key feature, a plunger to push in the cookie dough. My old electric one had one which helped get the dough in and no pockets of air. also the amount of clicks because of that varied and I had to change dough twice just for a full tray. most of the designs didn't come out properly.

Opened the box and the thing was filthy. Still covered in someone else's butter, green dough, and missing 2 of the 12 discs. Why did I pay full price for a used product?
