I looked around for a while to find a PS4 compatible controller that wasn't so dang expensive and also similar feel in my hand, and this one definitely did that all for me. The price was decent for the fact that I now have a new controller that feels like it handles well. I will be using this now over my original and many years old controller, as it is just what I needed.
The controller came earlier than expected and i was shocked. It has the same appearance as a regular dualshock 4 controller but it feels different than one but that doesn't mean that's a bad thing. I could definitely get used to this controller. Forgot to mention that it comes charged. If you can't afford to buy a regular dualshock 4 controller than this is a great alternative.
It works pretty close to the original PS4 controller. Close enough for the price you pay at least. It's not perfect, the buttons and sticks are not as accurate and there are often issues connecting to the PS4. Again though, for the price those issues are acceptable. The biggest issue is the battery. The battery quickly degrades and becomes almost not viable at around 200 total hours of use. Even out of the box the battery only lasts about 6 hours. That 6 hours turns into 20 minutes after 200 hours of use. Still good though if you need a cheap, quick replacement, or as a backup controller.
For its price the controller does well. I use it on PC connected by USB. The cons to the controller are latency when hitting the right side buttons and lack of precise movement with the thumb sticks (in which they need to be pressed harder or moved further respectively compared to a legitimate DS4). I'm using this to play an MMO so I have a little bit more leeway, however if you are playing something that needs snappy precise movement and reaction times this controller may fall short for you. Jump puzzles take a bit more finesse, and my movement feels a bit more like playing with M KB. Pros: It has a matte finish which is easy to clean, the touch pad, share, and options buttons work just fine. (The unmarked "playstation" button does not work for PC even with DS4Windows.) The speakers work as well (if playing on PC make sure to change your audio settings as it defaults to primary audio source when you plug it in for the first time). The rumble function works (it's a bit jarring at first - it does feel "weaker" than a DS4). It comes with 2 pairs of thumb stick caps; in blue and red. It also comes with a 3ft USB charging cord (though I haven't used since it so short). All-in-all, it's a decent replacement for the DS4 (that are still running for 70$ at this time).
Shipping was fast. Remote control is actually very similar to the name brand controllers. Came with charger, 2 red joystick pads, 2 blue joystick pads. Connects perfectly to ps4. But reason I'm giving 3 stars is because whenever I received it, the remote was slightly separated (like the edge of controller, as seen in second picture) and I had to open it and correctly close it. Maybe someone should review the controllers before boxing them. Other than that, ILL NEVER PAY $60 FOR ANOTHER REMOTE. Thanks!
I like how it controls and how it move so fast and i dislike how some of the buttons are mess up and the dpad is kinda broken and the right joystick is mess up a little bit but I will say it good
So it works. Powers on and the buttons work, but there's a half second delay on the buttons and analog sticks. The analog sticks think they're getting pressed with the slightest amount of pressure and the triggers require a full press to register. When I say full I mean pressed all the way down into the controller. It's pretty annoying.
The controller works and connects however it does have some lag and doesn't seem to be charging right I wouldn't recommend this controller for serious players maybe for a child however again you might have to keep it connected to the consul or a charging port just to keep it working
I never write reviews but I have to in this case. This is the worst piece of junk controller I've ever purchased. 1 star is being much too generous. I purchased this and the joysticks do not work at all. Sent it back for a replacement and guess what they don't work either. Pure junk. Save yourself a headache and buy something else!
I tried everything to pair the 2 controllers with my PS4 and nothing worked. I also read and tried everything that Playstation said to do to pair contollers to the PS4. Nothing Worked to include charging the batteries for 3 hours, pressing both buttons down at the same time and nothing happening, I used a Cable and turned of the PS4 and turned it back on and still didn't work. I made sure the controllers I was using prior to that were disconnected when I attempted to pair the new ones. Right now I am waiting to hear from the company Wal-Mart ordered them from. Meanwhile all other controllers that I own other than these two all paired just fine and I could use any of them right away. It is looking like these will have to be returned for a refund.
