They have a flat gasket instead of the beveled one that can be put on upside down and leak. I run these filters between 12 and 15 thousand miles and never had a problem.

Wix Rocks!
I have used these Wix fuel filters in my 7.3 power stroke motors for years. In the past, I worked machine maintenance in heavy construction and the mining industry. The mining industry spends a lot of money on analyzing oil and fluids for service scheduling. Wix - was the preferred name in quality filtration ….then and now. Wix 330818 fits 99-03 Superduty Fords with a 7.3 diesel.
