Each of the minute settings has a green led next to it, and off has a red led next to it. If you set the time to one of the higher settings, as time elapses it descends through the green lights on it's way down to the red one, so you always know approximately how much time is left. When not in use the red light stays lit constantly, as long as power is supplied to the switch. I installed this into a plastic electrical box and wired one plug and one socket to the pigtail wires to make it into an inline timer. I couldn't find a plug-in one for sale anywhere that had these small time increments. I use it daily in conjunction with a hi-velocity floor fan to dry out a steamy shower room that has no ceiling mounted exhaust fan, works great. Also works good with electric scented oil warmers / tart burners.

Great device timer. I've installed several of them. The preset selection periods are conveniently spaced.

I like the ease of use of use once installed. I give it 5 stars all around except for assembly, I had no problem onstalling it, but if you're unfamiliar with electrical work it may be challenging. It is so much better than a mechanical timer.

We have been looking for this at all are local stores. Finally found on Walmart. Com. Works great so far. We had this product before. So we knew we could depend on it. We like it because it breaks down in minutes and not hours.

In case the fan was turned on by a child, guest, elderly parent, or by accident - there is no way this would run more than 30 minutes. No more having it run continuously if I do not notice it has been left on. Time increments are very practical.

Replaced manual countdown timer with this. Quiet and can be manually turned off by repeatedly pressing button. Keeps accurate time. Easy to install

These have been great switches. I've had two in my house for about 6 or 7 years, one of them went out but i didn't hesitate to buy the same one.

Bought this digital timer for my bathroom fan to replace my winding timer that went kaput! The only tricky part about this timer is that you need to make sure that your electrical box has a neutral and ground wire. If there is too much wiring in the electrical box, you might need to cut some of it to make it all fit back in!

I ordered four of these timers, one for each of my bathrooms. I've installed three of them so far. Two are operating normally after three days. The third one operated normally for one day then failed. The red LED remained on but the time selector switch had become inoperative. I will return the inoperative timer to Walmart. These timers are inexpensive so having one out of three fail is not totally unexpected. I've decided not to install the remaining timer until more in-use time has elapsed.

Did not get it yet. What the heck Walmart.
