Excellent tool for the small jobs. Very easy to handle and light enough so you can do the cutting without any strain on your wrist. Glad I made the purchase..would highly recommend it for any small cutting jobs the do it yourself homeowner.
This is an amazing saw! It's compact, light, and very easy to use. The size of the handle is perfect for gripping. There are rubbery grips located conveniently on the handle to avoid slipping during use. The weight distribution is very comfortable as well. It cuts smoothly, too. The structure feels very solid, made with durable materials. It feels very well made! As a woman, it is not an intimidating tool either. I have no hesitation in using this as a beginner. It is great for small jobs like cutting plywood. It has great safety features, too. There is a switch at the bottom that you can turn on or off to prevent accidental use. There is a guard that goes over the blade automatically slides into place, too. The blade itself is surprisingly sharp! Perfect actually. There is also a guide near the blade to prevent drifting when in use, too. For such a small saw, it has a lot of power. The cord length for the plug is very good as well. The changing of the blade is very easy, too. For example, you can attach a vacuum hose or canvas bag to it to suck up dust as it cuts. Actually, there isn't much I can say that I DON'T like!! I highly recommend it!!
My wife order this for me as a Christmas gift in late November and I got to examine it Christmas day. It has a nice balanced feel and a comfortable switch and safety lock. I decided I had to play with it a bit yesterday and did a few practice cuts in some scrap 2x4s and 3/4 plywood, very happy with the cut and the left side cut sight. In review : thus far it appears the saw should prove to be a real convenience tool in that it will fill more than a few niches in most cutting projects. The ability to have a smaller saw to use for plumb cuts is an extra plus. It has a sturdy feel and sufficient power to accomplish all reasonable cutting tasks. A great addition to the tool collection at a very reasonable price.
I'm 62 years old and needed something I could handle. I had seen other products on TV from Worx and logged on to see all you had to offer. I was amazed. I bought the saw first because I needed one to work on some furniture and was pleased how lite weight and easy the saw is to use. Well done, thank you for making a product that even a senior woman can use.
The circular saw is just what I was looking for. It has so much more power than any battery operated saw and cuts through wood with ease. My wife recently got into pallet wood art and this saw makes my job easy to cut the slats necessary for her projects. I really like the size of the saw versus the larger circular saws. Great product!
WORX Compact Circular Saw...................Compact.....Excellent maneuverability.............I really like this saw......Because of the smaller blade and light weight it is much easier for me to handle than a regular circular saw.....It seems to be well made and it has plenty of power.......It cuts thru wood very well.......I don't just love it....I LOVE IT !!!.......I truly love finding tools that, I as a woman have no problems using....The size of this saw is perfect, not only for women to use, but for men also......Easy to handle with one hand.....Great for tight spaces......This tool has made my life a lot easier......Handy little saw...........Everyone should have one.......Very good item to have around.......This little gem is perfect.....Since I myself love to do wood working, but do not like using a regular size circular saw, this is the perfect solution.....Very well constructed.........High quality tool....I received this item for free to try and give a review on..............Opinions are 100% my own................You will not go wrong with purchasing this saw........
This is a nice saw. Plenty of power, smooth operation. I cut a 2x4 piece of teak with no problem. Went through plywood with no effort. The only thing that prevented a five star rating is the base plate. First it should be more substantial than a stamped piece of sheet metal. What I feel is the bigger problem is the size. Because of the blade orientation the wide side is to the right. Most people cut with their right hand causing the small part of the base to support the saw when the cut off drops away. Not enough of an issue to not buy but something to be aware of. This is a very good right handed saw and a great left handed saw.
Worxsaw, Works Great, Plenty of Power! Cuts very straight!! First off let me say this is not a bad saw at all. I can see it having tons of uses around a shop or garage. It's small and compact but cuts through 2x4's and hardwood sheets without any issues of losing power etc. I went ahead and made a rough little shelf for my shop, about 4ft in length. It cut with no issues at all, and straight as can be! It fits your hands really well, and it's very easy to cut with. I gave the saw 4 stars, only because I like really high quality on my tools. This just had a couple of things that look like they may not hold up long term, the saw safety guard for instance, the little plastic lever that allows you to move the guard off the blade, is just a thin plastic and one good drop would break it off, (in my opinion). It's nothing major and wouldn't effect being able to use it. All the other parts look like they are pretty good quality. OVERALL: If you have smaller jobs or cuts to do, this would be Ideal for you, and it sure beats ripping out all your heavier tools for smaller jobs. It's a great little saw and I can use it for tons of things around my shop for sure! I would recommend this saw to any of my family or friends. It definitely fills a niche in the shop or garage atmosphere, and would be super for tons of jobs around the house or shop!
The WORX Compact Circular Saw is a great addition to my not so big tool collection. Being a woman, it is not easy for me to always hold the tools with one hand. However, this saw is perfect to hold in one hand. I am always doing household projects and this saw works much better than the sawzall that I used to make my craft stand and my son's shelves for his closet. It is great for little cuts or big cuts. I would not use it for anything that you might want to cut that is thicker than about 2 inches. Since it is compact, the blade is only 4 ½ inches. It's very easy to use and can even make angled cuts. The saw holds very steady when you begin so you don't have to worry about it jumping and cutting where you didn't want it to cut. This is constructed of very durable materials and lightweight and that should last a long time. I cannot wait to get into more DIY projects around my house just so I can use this saw again. In the package, you get the compact saw, a 4 ½ inch blade, an allen wrench (to attach the blade), a 90 degree nozzle to attach a dust bag (not included), a measuring guide (kind of like a T square), and an instruction manual. Overall, the product is very easy to use. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the difficulty in looking for accessories (like the dust bag) to go with the saw.
Worx compact circular saw. What comes in the box? The saw, one 24 tooth carbide tipped wood blade, a parallel guide, a 90 degree pvc vacuum adapter, a hex key and the instruction manual. First impression is a light weight saw with a 4 1/2” blade and approximately 9' cord. A photograph on the side of the box shows the saw cutting a 2” deep kerf at 90 degrees, however this is inaccurate. The maximum depth of cut at 90 degrees is 1 11/16”. Maximun depth of cut at 45 degrees is 1 1/8”. The motor is rated at 4 amps which might not seem to be enough power but it works well partially due to the very thin kerf ( 1/16” ) blade. The saw weights just over 4 pounds and fits my fairly large hands comfortably. If your hands are on the smaller side you might want to try the saw before purchase. Depth of cut and bevel adjustments are well marked and functional. I tried the saw first on 2x4 stock which it cut cleanly with little if any strain on the motor. Next was plywood and again the saw preformed well. I did notice that the cut edge was not as straight as I would like. Possibly this was my error with a short blade or it could be the result of the very thin blade. Both cuts were made with a new blade, time will tell how long these thin blades will last. The Worxsaw is a light weight maneuverable saw designed to cut in places where a regular sized saw might not. This will not replace my full sized circular saw but it will complement it. Pros Lightweight Maneuverability Cost Cons Cheap plastic parallel guide
