After so many other electric pencil sharpeners going up or breaking I bought this one. This is one great sharpener! First it has a unique design where as when the pencil is done sharpening, the blades remove themselves from the pencil. No more guess work. Secondly it has a pencil guide with various size holes. No more breaking the point off a newly sharpened pencil. Although it's labelled "Teacher Pro" we use it at home. Another words it's heavy duty. You want a smooth trouble-free operational pencil sharpener then this is it.

Being a math teacher, we use a lot of pencils! I have only had this sharpener for a few days but, it is so much better than the one I had before. The pencils get a nice, sharp point and the sharpener does not eat the lead out of the pencil like many others have done in the past. My students love the light that lets them know the pencil is sharp and I love how quickly it sharpens........great for my peace of mind.

This sharpener has stood up in a classroom, sharpening up to 50 colored or regular, and large size pencils at a time. Hasn't overheated, and sharpens perfect every time, so much so that my preschoolers are helping to sharpen the pencils.

The motor in my old electric pencil sharpener froze up and died. I compared features on several new sharpeners and decided on this one. It "completely" cuts the pencil tip without leaving one side of the point still having wood covering the lead. That is great to have! No more turning the pencil tip around and around to get it all sharpened.

This pencil sharpener encouraged my son to immediately sharpen all of the pencils he has ever received from every goody bag and parade. For several school years, I have purchased various sharpeners; hand-grind and battery-operated. With two school-age kids at middle school and high school levels, I had to get a teacher-strength sharpener.

As a math teacher having a quality pencil sharpener is important. This one is a great option. High quality and long lasting. It's easy to empty the pencil shavings from at the end of a day as well. The slim design makes it fit virtually any space as well.

The sharpener recieved is not the one pictured. It is an updated model with one adjustable hole. This elimates the spinner to select hole size, but now pencils can be inserted crooked and not sharpened correctly. I was pleased that it does accommodate larger primary size pencils and smaller standard pencils. I reduced the stars because the advertising was incorrect and the new design is faulty.

I really wanted to like this item, reviews were good and it looked like what I needed. I ordered them for our school, I bought a total of 9 or 10, I am not in the process of returning a total of 7. Two of them did not work right out of the box. They would not start. The others would work a a little while and then quit.
