This base is very sturdy and easy to assemble and use with the umbrella I bought separately. I filled mine with water but you could also use sand. 5 stars!

This is a very easy to use umbrella base and fits our california umbrella perfectly. The base is light when empty and easy to fill with a hose for assembly. Once set up, it's heavy enough to withstand any wind but easy enough to move and maneuver if we want to clean the patio under it. The looks are fairly similar to most of the competition but the patterns on the outside stand out in a good way. Where it stands out is in the price point. It's cheaper than most of the competition while retaining a good standard of build.

I'm so glad I bought this to hold my 13 inch umbrella cause it stops it holds it that it doesn't tip over on windy days.

Nice design. Clean look. Very well built. I purchased 2 of the base stands. No regrets. I would purchase them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for Cantilever umbrella base stands.

ease of filling the pieces, i used water. i live in a windy area and works well

Tried initially to fill this with sand for stability but even with a wide spout funnel and dry sand it took forever to pour even a small quantity of sand into a single stand section. Gave up and decided that filling it up with water is the only real option. This morning woke up to find water all over my outdoor patio as at least one of the sections leaks! What an infuriating waste of time and a purchaser can't even return it to a Walmart store as it is sold by a third party seller! Walmart should really help with this return as sale was made online on their website. Beyond frustrated and angry!
