Great little grill and smoker

Shari January 6, 2025

I have used this grill a lot since I purchased it. I have smoked lamb, turkey, chicken, beef, tongue and vegetables on it. It has been great so far.

Good packing with very minimal damage only the bucket was squashed. Assemble out of box about 60 to 90 minutes. Did have to go back twice and, reassemble parts. Directions were mostly accurate and easily followed. Plugged it in followed start up directions and away it went. Lazy smoking is the way to go.

Great smoker grill

sam September 14, 2023

Purchased the grill for my son's birthday gift. The smoker grill works as it should. I also purchased the grill assembly, which was thru Angi list. I will NEVER use Angi list for any work again. The 1st appointment no one showed up and no communication from the tech or Angi list. I had to call Angi list to find out what happened to the tech. Poor customer service, poor communication, and a very poor experience with Angi list.

Significant upgrade!

Daniel P. December 29, 2025

I had a ZGrills previously which was my first pellet grill/smoker. Liked it a lot but a grease fire involving our Thanksgiving turkey killed it, I thought. So I got this as a replacement in a hurry for Christmas and... 1st smoke - Brisket for Christmas eve dinner. Came out beautifully. Nice ring, great flavor. Held the temp more tightly than the previous one. Next cook - Christmas Day - I easily configured it for direct flame grilling by removing the drip tray and nudging the heat spreader aside. With the help of a Grill Grate, I grilled 10 ribeyes in short order which also came out beautifully. It was my first time really trying to sear using a ZGrills but I'd promised my wife it'd work. Had the grill marks, had that smokey flavor, and plenty of space to keep 'em warm or cook them longer. Overall I couldn't be happier. The old one still works too, and I didn't even have to replace anything. Side note: These guys are masters of packing. This whole thing was packed into a box incredibly efficiently. Negatives: Not many, and kind of nitpicky. A few design decisions had me scratching my head although most were certainly an improvement from my previous model. I miss the storage area underneath that my old model had. When it arrived I did the break-in cook and a brief test grill of some hotdogs. It worked fine, but the fan seemed to always be on max. Before I put the brisket on I moved it slightly, it got a bump, and the fan afterward then acted like it should. The "max fan" situation blew ashes and pellet dust all over the chamber beneath the drip tray. So... glad that the ash problem is resolved, but a slight concern about why it was stuck on max.

Just ok

BrooksC October 20, 2025

The grill works as it should. But there's a couple things that I wish I had known before purchasing that would've made me purchase something else. It doesn't put out enough smoke for my liking. Even on the smoke setting it doesn't put enough smoke out for me. The temperature dial only has a few selections. And not enough adjustment. I prefer to fine tune my temperature on my cooking. And I can't with this grill. I'm not the biggest fan of the lack of searing. There's no direct flame option. The plate under the grates doesn't allow it. And lastly the manual feed button. No matter what I do I cannot figure out how to get it to work. I've read the manual. Watched videos. Still nothing. Again the grill does work as it should. But had I known what I know now. I wouldn't have purchased it.

Haven’t contacted company yet!

lorie December 27, 2022

We bought this for our son for Christmas, he’s just now unboxing it and the housing of the grill is bent and broken. The box it shipped in doesn’t seem to be damaged. We’re hoping it will still work but I’m going to contact for a return.
