I live on my iPad 11Pro and wanted a case and keyboard in one that gives me the functionality of a laptop with a case but not the expense or weight. This is it. The case offers good protection and the keyboard has the feel and primary functions of a laptop and the keys have a very "positive" press like a Mac laptop. The keyboard battery lasts a very long time and is easily charged with a standard USB-C.
This is my second Zagg keyboard with clamshell, although i have had other models before. For me, the issue is durability and flexibility. There are other backlit keyboards - but- this one is amazingly protective of the iPad. It has been dropped numerous times, the corners attest to that (!) but over years of abuse, no damage to the iPad. Secondly, the iPad itself is in a detachable holder, so it may be slipped into a purse or bag, used on a music stand etc. It is like having two in one.
Good value for the money. I like the extra rubber protection all around. I like the Bluetooth connection to the iPad vs a physical connection. Similar to my logi pro I had, but better
It fit perfectly, after I fully charged start using it with out any issues, comfortable and lightweight, I will definitely recommend it to people that are looking for one.
I have returned 2 other brands of ipad Pro M3 keyboards and cases because they malfunctioned. Zagg's works beautifully, was extremely easy to set up, and functions perfectly.
This is not my first Zagg product. I like the upgrades to the new one that they have made. Having it hold up the iPad while you type is a plus. My only dislike is where the power button is located , just have to get used to it. So far its been great.
Really like the track pad, the keys are nice to type on, appreciate the backlit keys. Two items I would improve would be to be able to have have an ipad stand attached when it is removed from the key pad. Secondly, have the keypad be able to charge the ipad.
The keyboard is fine. The support slips out of place - an earlier design with a secure groove for ipad was better. But biggest problems are that the frame for ipad prevents fingerprint recognition and the audio cuts out during zoom calls, possibly due to fact that vents for speakers are not aligned with ipad vents but are on a different plane overlying smooth metal of ipad. I think the design is not to recommend.
I do love the keyboard….it's easy to type on and works great, however I do not care for the magnetic back that holds the iPad in place…it is constantly falling off the magnet and is very irritating. I would recommend getting the one that the iPad actually snaps into.
The keyboard charging port is completely on its own and the unit does not charge the connected iPad. So, to charge you either need a second charging cable, one for the keys and one for the iPad, or swap the cable between them periodically to keep them charged. Also could use a trackpad.
