If you have a crab boil the right way, you already know this is a staple to have. Love this stuff. We do an annual crab boil every Year. We use the whole thing, making 20lbs of crab and 10 pounds of shrimp.
It's the best out there on the market with great flavor that you get from Louisiana for Cajun flavor
We use it like seasoned salt and sprinkle it on all types of food like soup, boiled peanuts, anything in the crock pot, Ramon noodles ETC ETC. Of course we also boil shrimp/crawfish with it.
This boil was amazing. It was filled with all those good ole down home flavors. It had the perfect amount of spice. I used it for shrimp and blue grab, it was the perfect balance of spice and seasoning. Pair with some potato and eggs, what a great flavor explosion.
I appreciated the opportunity to review this product with my family! The Boil-In-Bag Box made an at-home seafood boil simple and easy to do. The spice mix included was delicious with just the right amount of heat! I would recommend this to anyone looking for ways to DIY a seafood boil at home- hassle free!
I made a Shrimp boil for my family with potatoes and corn cooked in the seasoned water and removed before the shrimp. All three were delicious, but the corn was my very favorite. The spices were whole or in large flakes and boil bag made it easy to dispose of them without mess. I received a free product in order for my fair review.
I received the Zatarain's® Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil for free in return for writing an honest review of the product. One box of Zatarain's® Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil is enough to season up to 4 lbs of seafood, so I only used about half of the box when preparing my 1 lb of shrimp and 4 crabs. I have tried similar products before, and I have also used my own seasonings, and I will say that this time, using the Zatarain's® Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil, my meal was more flavorful than previous. The product is easy to use, you just add it to the water you are boiling your seafood in, let it all boil for a few minutes, then turn off the heat and let it soak in the flavorful broth. I gives a nice zesty flavor but it is not spicy or too salty. Since I only used about half of my package I have been looking ideas to incorporate this into other foods, and I think I will use it as a dry rub for some meat we're going to grill up next weekend. This is definitely a good and tasty product.
When I think of bag seafood I think I was expecting I can actually put my seafood inside the bag not a bag of seasoning? The flavor was ok I think it could have been better for sure. Maybe a buttery coloring or even a sauce would be significantly better. I'm thinking along the lines of popular seafood brands like boiling crab! Overall I would purchase again and make it differently now that I know the flavor profile!
Where is my other 1 you send 2 this is a package of 3! I can send a pic of only receiving 2 if I need to???
There were three jars in the box I ordered one jar the lid was busted. The seal was busted, and there was crab powder all inside the box. It was a hot mess.
