I've been using Zebra products for over 20 years. You had the mechanical pencil. When everyone else only had them in a gift set.

These are th best pens and pencils money can buy. They always write extremely smooth. They are very reliable. They are thin and not bulky. I wouldn't buy anything else.

this is a great mechanical pencil.

Works fine. Needs harder lead. Bought replacements 7mm lead at local 99 cent store. Pen has Smooth precise quiet cluck action. Have back up eraser because stock one pretty useless. Quality build nice. People ask to see it. Nice to look at. One of a kind. Don't let it out of your site. Hard to find.... Not in stock at Walmart or staples.. Stores, Very few places. Not found in stores anywhere near me. So, as always Ordered online at Walmart.com...not Amazon...Walmart has best price and had it shipped to on site Walmart at my house for free!!!!!Easy with Walmart.com... No other sellers under Walmart. I only use them and ignore their marketplace sellers. Under Walmart.com because they price match I believe. Hassle free and fairly fast at Walmart. Came a day earlier and I was sent an email it was ready for pick up. For 5 plus change its a really nice pencil and conversation piece.

When I initially brought this zebra-701 mechanic pencil, I thought it would be better than the terrible cheap plastic mechanic pencil's In some aspects, yes. the design of the pen is wonderful, with a quite premium shine on it and has wonderful grip. It feels nice to write with it. However, the mechanic pen is quite heavy, way heavier than any mechanic pencil one would normally had beforehand. Furthermore, the writing one produced from this mechanic pencil is dull, and a lot slower to write with compared a to normal wooden pencil. If you buying a mechanic pencil for school, I would suggest to buy a cheaper option, since at the end of the day, you are still using the same type of lead.
