31" Adjustable Workout Aerobic Stepper in Fitness & Exercise Step Platform Trainer Stepper w/Risers

I used the main platform to allow my 92-year-old mother to get in and out of my van more easily. It reduces the height between the pavement and the van floor. It is long enough for placement of both feet and it is sturdy. The width is perfect for still allowing me to move close to her and assist her to complete the entry into the vehicle. I am buying another for use elsewhere.

We're aren't actually using this for an exercise stepper, we use it as an aid for my elderly mom with dementia too step up into my minivan. It's the perfect intermediate height and generously sized and light for me to place by the door so she can step up onto the step then step into the van without much difficulty. We can also use it inside for her physical therapy once she gets strong enough.

I read many, many reviews and decided on this one. This is a great stepper. I bought 3 so the family can work out together and the teenagers are enjoying using it. The base is very low but good for anyone with balancing concerns, knee problems, or a true beginner. The 2nd and 3rd inserts give it sufficient height for a great workout and intensity. The inserts take a few minutes to set into the grooves just right. Since it's plastic on plastic, the inserts move around until they sit firmly on the grooves. Once it's on the groove, it is very stable. If I wanted to quickly change the intensity during a workout, I would probably spend a couple of minutes trying to get it just right and I would probably feel frustrated. But knowing this ahead of time, I would just plan my workout accordingly. The length and width were perfect for me. My teens have large feet (size 11) and they were perfectly fine on it as well. I tried it on both the rug and wood floors and it did not budge. I am very satisfied with this product and the price was just right.

center of step gives more that I expected

It could be a bit shorter. Sticks out too far when you have it in front of something for balancing. Instead of 25 inches, could be 20-21. I really like it, but it would be much easier for moving if the risers would snap in. I have tried to move it with my foot about 3 inches and the top detaches from the risers.
