Pretty good

Ekidokai June 5, 2022

I got this after the cold weather here in Maine left so the freeze protection has not been fully tested yet, but my car does not overheat either. I like the idea of this being premixed and not having the nitrates or phosphates. The five-year warranty is no joke either.

High quality antifreeze

JRH May 13, 2022

A very good quality antifreeze, manufactured by Valvoline, that is specifically made for European vehicles including Porsche, VW, Audi, and Mercedes Benz, plus other vehicles. Automaker approved as a replacement for factory antifreeze that the vehicle has when manufactured. Recommended for many other types of European vehicles also. This is a prediluted antifreeze that protects your cooling system down to minus 34 degrees and up to 265 degrees Fahrenheit as most other antifreezes do. 150,000 mile antifreeze quality guarantee.

It also has a 5 year 150,000 mile warranty guarantee. It comes in a 1 gallon jug and has a temperature range of -34° to 265°F.The back of the jug contains directions and more vehicle uses.

Pre-mixed is Convenient

Kerry May 21, 2022

The Zerex pre-mixed is convenient. I have used it for years in my Mercedes and never had a problem. I live in Montana and sometimes the temperature can drop to 40 below zero Fahrenheit. I have also driven over the desert in Arizona during August where temperatures were 120 degrees Fahrenheit. No problems freezing or boiling. I change my antifreeze every 3 years. Zerex is my choice and it seems to work just fine. I always take a gallon of Zerex with me on long trips. Zerex is an OEM-approved coolant that meets all Mercedes specifications. Just as good as the Mercedes brand but half the cost. And it is made in the USA.

Ready to be used

Zerex G40 Phosphate and Nitrite Free Antifreeze/Coolant 50/50 Prediluted Ready-to-Use 1 GA. Please make sure that this product is comparable or fit to use in your vehicle. This Antifreeze Coolant provides unsurpassed protection for vehicles requiring genuine G40 and G12++ fluid. This product is (OEM) approved formula where it ensures you are getting the precise factory-filled original formula for your European vehicle. ZEREX G40 is a premium grade, long-life coolant that employs nitrite, amine and phosphate-free, Si-organic acid technology (Si-OAT) to protect the cooling system from rust and corrosion. Zerex protects better than industry standards against corrosion, leaking, deposits as well as freezing and boiling – the four main causes of cooling system failure. This formula is ready to be used in a 50/50 ratio with deionized water to protect all modern engine components from winter freezing (-34F) and summer boiling (265F). Check with manufacture regarding warranty.

iReview4u: Zerex G40 Pink European formula

iReview4u May 13, 2022

Very high quality 50/50 premised. Great to keep leftover as a top off. Meets rigorous very high standards of broad range of European models. G40 is compatible with g12 fluid as well. No need to pay high price for a single litre concentrate at a higher price. This pre mix is about a two litre equivalent of concentrated.

Beats Dealer's Price

Sid May 12, 2022

Zerex G40 Phosphate and Nitrite Free Antifreeze/Coolant 50/50 Prediluted 1 gallon (3.78L) ready yo use no need to add water. (Freeze -34F Boil 265F) for use with Audi, Mercedes, VW, and Porsche. My VW loses coolant every 4-5. months and VW dealer coolants are too expensive compared to Valvoline Zerex. Not all coolants are the same so mixing the wrong formula could cause gelling or other harmful reactions. Obviously I have no way to test and compare ingredients but the label looks as good as VW G40 a 5 years/ 150000 miles guarantee in light duty cars and 3 years/300000 miles heavy duty trucks. Provides protection for vehicles requiring genuine G40 and G12++ fluid. such as 2005 and higher models. Pros: Cost less than dealer brand, No need to mix distilled water. Warning: Coolant can be deadly if consumed by pets and never add coolant a hot engine.

OEM-grade G12+ coolant! (50/50; no concentrate)

treesap June 21, 2022

Sooo, my Audi has a tiny coolant leak that I for some reason CANNOT find, which leads to me having to top it off a couple of times per year. Ordinarily, this requires me to hop in my car and drive 60 miles to the nearest VW dealer, or to have my local auto parts store order the equivalent Pentofrost SF fluid. So, I found it very convenient that I could now purchase the stuff from Walmart! Much easier to do, and means I don't have to plan ahead. As for the product itself, it appears to be identical to the G12+ fluid I always use. (And yes, to clarify, this is the equivalent of G12+, not G13. They do sell a G13 equivalent though, along with flavors for other foreign cars which I'm sure are just as good of quality! My only minor gripe is that only pre-diluted coolant is available, with no full-strength equivalent. I wanted to specifically note that this was half-strength in my review, for those who might read it and order too little of it if doing a change. Not a huge deal, unless…your fluid is already diluted (e.g. if you've previously topped it up with plain distilled water), or if trying to change your cooling fluid entirely. It is physically impossible to bring a 20% solution of antifreeze up to a 50% solution by adding 50% fluid to it. Likewise, its really hard to completely drain the existing coolant all at once, so attempting a complete replace results in excess waste. If you fall into the above category and your coolant is already overly diluted, this product is probably not for you, as it would require wasting lots of fluid in the process of reaching 50%. The full-strength equivalent can be harder to find, but is practically required for those situations. The big picture, though, is that this meets the same specs as the OEM stuff, and at an equivalent cost (for pre-diluted fluid.) It also saves a trip to the dealer or speciality store. So if you're in the market for some ready-to-use coolant for your Volkswagen or Audi, this is a perfectly solid choice, and I would recommend it.
