really like this product. A Professional Painter recommended this to me for removing wallpaper and it does the job easier than anything else I've ever used. I really like the gel, it doesn't run down your wall and onto the floor. It stays on the wall and gets the paper along with the backing off in one step. Not 100% perfect but pretty close.
I sprayed the wall and let sit for about 20 minutes and it peeled right off no scraping at all
Don't know why it didn't work for others. It worked great with little effort TIP let it sit for 15 min.. Did a room 16x16 removed the 6 in border start to finish in less than 2 hrs. including cleanup. Pulled border off which left the backing, sprayed let sit 15min. did not have to use scraper except on a few spots. Wiped down with sponge & water then wiped dry with cloth. I had been dreading this job, piece of cake with this product,
This was the first thing I purchased and it did a good portion of my bathroom. This was old wall paper from when the house was first built in the 80s. I stripped the first layer then I stripped the glue layer. I scored the wall then let this product soak for a bit. I used this the first time. Got some other stuff from Lowe's called piranha. Did not work as well, I then got some more stuff from home Depot that stuck really bad and basically melted the wall paper making it hard to do. I was frustrated. So I took the did bottle and water down what I had left in the bottle and it worked like it did the first time. I still have another bathroom to do but I'm buying this again and going to dump half the bottle in the old sprayer and water it down to make it last longer. This stuff is awesome. Granted taking wallpaper off blows anyway you twist it. This stuff made the job more tolerable. Happy stripping.
I live in a home that is over 100 years old with 100 years of wall paper over slat and mortar. I peeled over 6 layers of wall paper off and was left with glue backing that I could not get off. I was at a complete loss until I ran across this product. After spraying, letting it set for 15 minutes, the backing litterally rolled off the walls. There were still a few sticky spots that required some elbow grease, but seriously....this product is a life saver!
If you have extremely old stuck on wallpaper this product isn't for you. save yourself the hassle and get a steamer!! This product is thick and worked in some spots but I had to soak areas of the wallpaper and let it sit. It is a thick gel which isn't runny like some removers.
Bought this to remove a wallpaper border in our master bedroom. Lives up to expectations, and didn't take too long. I ripped the top layer of the border off, then sprayed this on the glue part.. let it sit a couple of minutes and it peeled right off. Downside; it does drip a bit, so just have to wipe the wall afterwards. Definitely recommend it if you don't want to be there all day taking down wallpaper!
My husband and I in the process of restoring an old house, and I bought this to help remove the 5+ layers of wallpaper in one of the bedrooms. The Pros: I have asthma, and I am very sensitive to harsh fumes. Fortunately, this product has almost no scent at all. And, I can work with it for hours in a closed room with no problems at all. It works as advertised. Just spray it on and let it sit a few minutes, and the paper comes right off. It's can get a little drippy when applied thickly. But, for the most part, it stays in place. The Con: One bottle doesn't go far. It's good for smaller jobs like removing borders or maybe removing a single layer of wallpaper in a small room. But, at almost $5 per bottle, it's not very cost-effective for larger projects.
After a few days of using nothing but water and a scraper I needed to get this job done so I checked out reviews on two web sites. most reviews were pretty good so I tried and loved,,,,,,if you follow the instructions it works wonders,,,,,,, mostly will work on getting the glue off, so pull off what you can on the top layer of wallpaper then just spray this on wait 15 mins go back and it peels right off....you can find this in home improvement stores but stick with walmart its a dollar cheaper. to end my story I will suggest buying a couple of bottles if your doing a big job you can always take back what you haven't used. but once you get into the job you would hate to run out.
it just didnt work
