This frame is very sturdy with plenty of storage space underneath. But, you need to remember how tall 18 inches are, especially if you have an 12 inch mattress, since the entire bed will be 30 inches tall. I bought this metal frame with a 12 inch mattress, and the mattress was very hard so I had to decide whether to return the frame or keep the mattress and buy a 4 inch gel topper. So, I chose to keep the mattress, and buy a 4 inch gel foam topper, and return the frame. I'm 5'5" and the height of the frame would be too tall with the frame, mattress %26 gel topper (18" 12" 4"=34"). Anyway, I'm 175 lbs and the frame is sturdy for my weight, so I recommend the sturdiness %26 great storage space of the frame, but I would strongly advice you to use a measuring tape before ordering it. (Use the measurement tape and add the frame with the mattress while considering your own height).
I love this bedframe. I purposely wanted something that looked like I could put it together myself and I was not disappointed. Once you pull the frames out of the box, you just unfold them, lock the legs in place, then attach them together with the included bolts and wing nuts. The frame is so sturdy, yet it's easy to move when I change the sheets. So happy with this purchase. Oh - and storage! There is so much stuff I can put under the bed now. It really helps sincce my closet space is seriously lacking
This bed frame is perfect it's high rise 18 inch off the ground which I really like it's sturdy and easy to build. It was affordable and if you want a bed off the ground this bed frame is it. I like the empty space underneath the bed.
Great product , just not for me. I thought 18” would be awesome because I could store bins under, but, my mattress is approx 15 inches so total of 33 inches and I'm only 5'5 . When I put it all together I could barely get on the bed . Lol. I'm returning as soon as they start taking returns. They are not taking due to the virus.
After going through three different bed frames with "rolling drawer storage" underneath, I finally switched to this bed frame, at half the cost of the flimsy IKEA ones I had been buying and much more storage space! This frame is sturdy and sits high enough that you can slide at least 4 big totes underneath. My parents and my sister all own this bed frame and love it. The only downside to consider is that (obviously) it sits high up, so if you plan on using a box spring with your mattress, be prepared for a bed that is about 3 ft off the ground. I'm barely 5'2 and don't mind the little bit of a climb, but if you're not the mountain-climbing type, you'll want a good step stool. My parents took their box spring out and it works just fine and saves them the climbing too.
My concerns were sturdiness, quiet, height and build quality. The frame met all of those criteria, and if it didn't, I had designs to fabricate my own. It is sturdy and does not shift (wobble, lean, etc.) in any direction. No squeaking getting in/out of bed. It is tall enough for storage containers underneath. The legs are inset enough from the corners so that you don't stub you toes. The mattress will slide on top of the smooth frame, so I recommend getting some non-slip foam-rubber, typically used for carpet and shelving non-slip. I purchased 4) 1' x 5' rolls (from a dollar store) that did the trick.
Bought this a couple months ago to replace my old box spring and it had been a game changer! It's quiet, very sturdy & easy to put together. It fits within my existing bed frame and is just an inch or so higher but it's barely noticeable. Definitely better support for my hybrid mattress than my old box spring - which also means less back pain for me!
Okay so this is the most perfect bed base I've literally ever dealt with. I cannot believe this is not the standardized requirement for all bed bases. I have some weird hangups about box springs, so I knew I was in the market for a platform-style bed. I didn't want to deal with something super huge like an all-wood construction, and slatted wood stuff from ikea felt like it'd be too flimsy. I'm not planning on living in my apartment for the rest of my life, and I wanted something I could pack up and take with me. Enter the Casey Metal Frame. First, setting it up took maybe 15 minutes, tops, and I did it by myself. Second, the height is incredible. The ability to store things under my bed is *amazing.* I live in a studio loft and storage is at a premium, so the extra space under the bed is incredible. Last and most importantly -- this thing is solid as all getout. It doesn't creak, it doesn't squeak, it doesn't wiggle. It feels as sturdy as laying the mattress on the floor itself. I absolutely love the heck out of this bed base, and I feel like it gets a lot of airflow which I hope will help extend the life of my mattress. As a bonus, my roomba has zero problems cleaning under it as well. So yeah. I love it. It's solid and I have no complaints.
This was very easy to set up and secure. Very sturdy. The ONLY PROBLEM is that the mattress slides around on the bedframe...there are no raised areas on the bedframe to hold the mattress in place. Every couple of days, I have to shove my kingsize mattress back into place on the frame. This is quite frustrating. Other than the sliding problem, It's a great product.
Was specifically looking for a bed frame that doesn't squeak, but unfortunately this one still does. I've tightened all the screws as much as possible, but it still makes noise when moving around. At least it hasn't broken yet, but then it's only been a few weeks.
