Zinus Smartbase Compack 14" Metal Bed FrameFoundation, Queen

After carefully scrutiny of the many bed frames on offer which do not require a box base I settled on this model from spa sensations. It is extremely strong, no wires but tubular steel bars throughout and is very easy to assemble. (15-20mins). I am so impressed with these frames that over the past few years I have bought six of different sizes and without abuse I'm sure they will last for many years. I consider them to be excellent value for money.

Purchased this bed frame for my teenage daughter. It was incredibly easy to assemble and took maybe twenty minutes? Sturdy and solid, holds a mattress without the need for a box spring. I would recommend this bed to anyone looking for just a simple base to hold your mattress. It is very comfortable and VERY affordable.

My mom gave my boyfriend and I a queen sized mattress to help replace our smaller bed. I questioned the necessity of buying both a box spring AND a bed frame. (Going to college and short on funds). Turns out there's no need! This is an equally as functional compromise that keeps your mattress off the ground and gives you lots of storage space underneath of it. 1/3 the cost of what we would have spent otherwise. It was super easy to put together, too. 10/10 would recommend.

So far so good! Got it put together by myself last night! I'm a 70-yr-old female. My husband DID ask if I wanted help, but since I like to do that sort of stuff, I told him I'd give it a try and let him know if I needed him to lend a hand! There are lots of parts, but very well organized. The hardware and needed tools are neatly shrink-wrapped on a card. They even include extra nuts and bolts and a very handy ratchet. The parts are powder-coated and seem sturdily constructed. The pictorial 'instructions' are not perfect, but 'darn-near' it! Overall, I am quite pleased with this frame so far! The mattress has not yet arrived, so I haven't tried it out yet. I will try to remember to update this review after I have actually lain on it. I just wanted to let you know that putting it together is not hard, and it does seem to be very well made.

I've only owned this bed one week but so far so good. It came quickly and was fairly lightweight to handle. It was very easy to set up and it seems very sturdy. I'm using this on my deck for a couch when friends stop by and we want to sit outside. At night in the spring, summer and fall I sleep on my deck. I was using an air mattress but this is much better! Also because the frame sits up off the deck fairly high, I can store my linens and extra pillows under it in a storage bin for the winter. It's a win win for me!

Perfect for what we needed. It sticks out a little longer than the hybrid mattress we bought, but it should be ok. We are happy with it but haven't slept in it yet. it seems sturdy and well built. Was easy to put together. Package contained all parts. Looks just like the picture shown when purchased.

Took about 30 minutes to assemble (1 person) and was easy to do so. Allen wrench tool required for assembly was provided (would be nice if this is prominently noted in product description) but recommend having pliers or wrench for tightening wing nuts. Bed is very sturdy and once assembled I was much impressed with how solid it felt. Not wiggly or flimsy at all. Decent clearance under bed for storage. Purchased with 12 inch memory foam mattress and works great. Very comfortable.

I was extremely disappointed to discover TWO important pieces were missing. The item appeared it may have been previously returned and no quality control was used to restock to inventory. If Zinus cannot send me the missing parts, I must repack and return the item which is already too heavy to have to handle. I should receive some kind of addl compensation for this major inconvenience to a 70 y/o senior.

[Employee of walmartcanada] The only good thing I can say about this is that it was easy to assemble. It took me about 30 minutes to do it alone. The metal slats are around 6 inches apart, compared to a traditional bed where they would be 2-3 inches apart. My new mattress noticeably sagged in between the slats. I had to buy wooden slats in order to use this bed frame, and they are very hard to put on this bed frame because there is only one vertical support, all the slats are horizontal. I also bought the zinus headboard adapter, and the holes do not line up with this bed frame. I think it is meant for the other zinus bedframe.

I brought 4 of these items and two of them already broken and ai can't fix it because it's the part that came welded.
