Love this hand warmer. Was back and forth between this and an electric one and ended going with the fuel version. If you follow instructions on fueling you will have no issues, lasts longer than advertises and provides amazingly warm heat. Used these sitting in the deer blind in single digits, works great in the pocket and small enough to put in my gloves. There is a slight smell to it but its not bothersome or strong enough to annoy me, after it's going for about 30 minutes the smell pretty much goes away.
I am excited about my Zippo hand warmer I already had one .I ordered two more one extra for me and one for a gift. It keeps me warm for over 6 hours well worth the money. Good Heat easy to fill.
This is the coolest thing I received for Christmas! Love this device! I used it in temperatures below 0 and it kept my hands (and pocket) warm for hours. Easy to use, good heat, what else would you need it to do?!
esp for emergencies in cold climates.
keeps your hands really warm for a long time. glad I bought it.
Yeah, I have always wanted one for my husband who works outside. His hands get really cold since it is hard for him to work with thick gloves on. I didn't know they still made them. Such a good idea and so simple to use. The hardest thing is finding the lighter fluid to use in them.
I became interested in Jon-e hand warmers back about 1960. Recently I found 3 in old stuff at the house. So I bought the Zippo brand. And it worked great ! Right from the start. I think the trick is knowing how much fuel to put in it as well as how to light it.
This product looks a lot like a zippo lighter, except it has outlet holes and is about 1-1/2 times the size. Living in Southern California, I haven't had time to try it, but will be going to the snow when it starts falling. I'll give it the cold test then. I am sure it will be a benefit. Just pour the lighter fluid into the Zippo and light it up.
The packing for the Zippo Hand Warmer was easily opened (no need for scissors which is very nice). The instruction page was very easy to follow. The metal hand warmer case is very sturdy and easy to take apart when filling with the lighting fluid. I will say that I was a little nervous when lighting it because I thought that there would be some type of flame coming out but there wasn't so I did feel safe with it right away. It took a few minutes to get warm. I was very impressed with the heat that radiated from it. The cloth case provided is easy to open and close and adds, what feels like more heat. I did like the fact that a fill container was provided for a quick fill. It stated on the packaging and instruction sheet that the heat would last 6 hours but it did last a bit longer. It does fit nicely in your hand and it slips easily into your gloves. Great for any of your cold weather events What I didn't like about the Zippo Hand Warmer is that when you first ignite it, it does get really hot and could possibly cause a burn if you don't get it into the carrying bag right away.
I received the Zippo hand warmer from the Spark Review program for my fair and honest opinion. It took me going to several stores to find the lighter fluid and finally found it at a tobacco and vape store. I read the instructions thoroughly. The little fuel can is cute as can be! I filled it to the line. I pulled the top off and then pulled the catalytic burner off and poured the lighter fluid in. Yes I spilled it and had to clean up before lighting. I tried intermittently for about 3 hours the first day without success. It doesn't let you know that it's working-no flame or click -nothing to indicate it's working except that it should begin to get warm almost immediately. Finally on the 2nd day I tried 2 times and finally it got warm. Although it was difficult-and the instructions say it could take longer the first time, it does get warm and I would recommend purchasing.
