Zombieland (Blu-ray Sony Pictures)

This movie is easily my favorite comedy of 2009, it has the perfect mix of intelligence and random stupidity that makes it brilliant. Throw some really well done zombie into the mix and you've easily got the best zombie movie of 2009 as well. I have absolutely no complaint's about this movie and suggest it to anyone who doesn't completely hate zombies.

The first review of this movie, albeit brief & misinformative, forgot to mention a few important facts: A digital copy, is just that. It is meant to be played as a "copy" on your PC with Windows Media Player, or wichever video player you have installed. However, you CAN play this movie on your IPOD/Cellphone/Zune with the appropriate conversion software. Otherwise, it is meant to be a digital copy for your PC as it states when you begin copying it. All technicality aside, this movie was surprisingly witty and original in its narrative. Anything with the Woodster is A+ material, and this is no exception. Highly recommended.

Ok, first thing, the digital copy works on iTunes. I have a MacBook and an iPod and I already transfered the copy to both. Most digital copies nowadays are iTunes compatible, but when in doubt, the back of the dvd case usually says whether it is or not. Now about the actual movie itself. I bought it without seeing it first, and it was the right choice. This movie is hilarious, not too gory, and down-to-earth, all at the same time. I watched it twice in the first 24 hours of owning it. If I had to pick one downfall to the overall dvd, it would be that there are no bloopers or outtakes in the special features. I'm just nit-picking here, but that's it. The movie is perfect, and has tons of re-watch value. I absolutely love it.

If you're looking for a movie that will make you, laugh and cry about bill murray and you love twinkies and not sno-balls, then this is the definitive movie for you. I laughed so hard, I almost cried, it's ridiculously funny. Personally I could care less about the digital copy because I have a life and don't waste it worrying about that, but this move is great and it definitely is quotable!

The movie was enjoyable to me, but I like silly zombie movies. If you are a hardcore traditional zombie fan this movie won't be for you. If you want to see quirky people try to survive the apocalypse then you will probably find this entertaining.

This was the funniest movie of 2009, easily. I really didn't expect to enjoy it so much. Ignore the prior review, he's upset about the digital copy program that is common across the industry, that's not a product-specific complaint. And based on his review, he gives no indication that he's even seen the movie. That said, the movie was very funny, a lot less bloody\gory than many other zombie flicks, and even had a hint of "HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy" in it's rule set. I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys slightly crude comedy(Not as crude as American Pie and the like), whether you love or hate the rest of zombie films, this is a belly laugh comedy. Woody Harrelson comes off surprisingly well, as does the rest of the cast, including a surprise cameo from another hollywood celebrity. This was a VERY funny movie.

Love this movie. Never get tired of watching it.

the movie is good and i am glad it was instawatch. i think any movie that has digital download should be in instawatch.

The only problem I have is that I had this shipped to my nearest store and it the case was is horrible shape (cracked, scuffed up, etc). Lucky the disk was fine but when I buy something new, I expect everything to be perfect.
