Great size, good spark, compass does show north and whistle are good bonuses to the this fire starter.

Pretty hard to make a bad one of these.

This fire starter is very effective at getting a spark, the compass is also very accurate and the whistle is loud. This is a great tool for any outdoor bag. Compact size makes it easy to take anywhere.

Worked well, sturdy and reasonable priced. Arrived quickly. My son is happy with the compass on the stick.

Nice size, as advertised. Be sure to scrape black stuff off the rod before trying to light or it might not work (see youtube). I personally use my knife to strike the rod. I looked at the compass on the paracord bracelet--it seems iffy to me. I turned in various directions to see if it would always show north in the same direction--mine does not seem helpful. I wear the paracord bracelet--the bracelet has a whistle, a little scraper you can remove, and a little miniature rod which is cool (this is in addition to the big rod and scraper in the bag--youtube should be able to show you how to use the little paracord set up). Note: if you take the little scraper out and don't put it all the way back in its spot on the bracelet, it could fall out when you undo/unlock the paracord bracelet. Because the bracelet is big enough to slip over my hand, I prefer not to open it when putting it on and taking it off. I hope this review helps. Best regards.
