Received my heat around today 6-15-21 The picture does not do justice to the size of this heater 20 in high x 10 3/4 across the safety cage. ( designed like your standard kerosene heater). Installed a one pound cylinder to see how it operates and am very happy with my purchase. Hats off to Dyna Glow for a great product.
This heater doesn't require any matches/lighting tool, and lights in under a minute. I even used it at 7,200 feet in 20 degree weather and it lit quickly and produced a nice amount of heat! For normal camping this will be a gem!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the HeatAround 360 and put it to work immediately on our deck. For being the size of a lantern, the HeatAround throws off a great deal of heat - comfortable for about a dozen folks on a 16x25 deck. We tried it inside the kitchen because the sensor gives us confidence that it will warn us if there are fumes - and after 30 minutes of use, no alarms! Great unit, simple design, excellent price.
I bought this heater to use as a temporary and local heat source. I plan to use it when camping and even in the evenings when on the patio in cool weather. Even took it to a football game and used it while tailgating. It works perfectly and I'm excited to have it. This heater is simple perfect in size, portable, light in weight, lights easily and does as it's advertise...great product...It is truly a personal heater providing a full 360 degree of warmth. It generates an amazing amount of heat. . It's awesome for a portable heater. So easy to carry around. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It works well, but you must follow the directions and hold down the pilot knob for at least 30 seconds for it to work. Good for a small table or area.
great design...but it will not operate above 7000 ft elevation.
I can get the unit to light but when I let pressure off the knob it cuts off and won't stay lit. What do I need to do?
I have had this for less than a year and there is no gas flow to the pilot in any position of the knob when pressed. Tried 1 lb and 20 lb fuel source.
I want to start by saying that I have never posted a review of any kind online before in my life. I have always wondered if it is actually the manufacturers that write/post the especially glowing or overly articulate but always insanely positive product reviews. After experiencing this product for myself, I would put money on the fact that the positive reviews for this 360 heater are written by an employee of the manufacturer and not Joe-Public like me that actually bought one of these wastes of time and money. I am so frustrated and disappointed with this product that I am actually taking the time to write my first review. I purchased the Dyna-Glow HeatAround 360 Red yesterday after a week of researching propane space heaters. This is what I get for trying to save a couple bucks! I got this thing to light 1 time. That was it. just once. It ran well for about 5 minuted that I turned it off because I had to leave and didn't want it running unattended. less than an hour later, I tried to light it again... Nothing. I followed the instructions to the letter and it will not light. I can get the pilot lit (keeping the knob pushed in for any amount of time) but as soon as you release the knob, it dies. Several people now have tried to get this lit by counting anywhere 5 seconds to 120 seconds before releasing the knob and it will not fire up. We all get the pilot light ignited but it dies as soon as you release the knob. I have tried with 4 different brand new propane cylinders and still nothing. I've had it with this heater. Strange, not one mention of any issue trying to get this piece lit in the reviews posted on the manufacturers website... Sure, those reviews are authentic!
I picked up my first one after the power went out at 2 am got it home and the pilot light would not stat lit so I packed it back up took it back the overnight manager let me open a different box up and try a different one before driving all the way back home and it didn't work either after that we opened a more expensive model luckily that one did work so for this model I would say stay away
