This is such a great product! Comes with a teeny, but functional spork. Has an expiration date that will outlive me. Needs to be gently stirred since all the (dark) tuna is on the bottom. Kinda oily, but it's Mediterranean oily. I keep two in a drawer at work for emergency meal things. They will be great for the apocalypse as well. Which is next month at the current rate.
I recommend it because it's a healthy lunch that can easily go to work with you. It doesn't need refrigeration or heating. Just open and grab a spoon. I wasn't crazy about the taste but it matters a lot to me that it is high protein and low fat and carbs. I'd rather eat something that is okay taste-wise than a greasy, fattening food that isn't lean, high protein. Works for a meal or a snack.
When your survey asked, "Was this a good value for the money?" I didn't know how to answer. I secretly do shop for a good deal(I'm on social security income). I was fortunate to travel the world as a child. My mom always cooked the foods that the locals ate. I grew up learning about smells, tastes and cultures of other countries! This is from the "Mediterranean diet" which is so popular right now. My neurologist recommended it to me for brain health and weight loss. I have not lost any weight, lol. I have never felt so good though at almost 66!
Willa and I tried these on our car trip to Dallas to visit the boy child. It were pretty good and Willa liked it too. Not too fishy, which was my concern because Willa don't go in for fishy smelling stuff. Maybe a little smelly when you get to the bottom where the tuna is. And it's a little bit oily but that didn't put me off too bad. I liked the little round dealies and the chickpeas were just the right amount of doneness, so there ya go.
These are actually really good. I was afraid to try them but glad that I did. Extremely convenient and delicious meal that's filling. It has an easy open lid so no can opener required and even comes with a spork so no need to bring your own utensils. Love!
I like the flavor taster profile and portion size. Hears hoping you keep these newer Bettergoods item in-stock. I really like the 'Cleveland Kitchen Kimchi Pickle Chips' that one of your corporate buys sent to my store, but they disappeared (when to clearance) in less than 2 weeks. I bought all I could as a single consumer to no avail. - Now I have to go to 'Sprouts' and pay double!
I was pleasantly surprised by this and am glad I tried it. its about 3/4 cup of food but as filling as an entire plate. It checked all the marks low carb, low fat, low calories. i liked the taste even though I dont really like canned tuna. I wouldn't mind seeing it in a chicken form. I do agree with some viewers that the texture was a little off and will use one reviewer's idea of putting it with lettice or cucumber which should make it even better.
I really liked the taste and that it was shelf-stable. Did not taste salty. However, I abruptly stopped ordering when I looked at the label and saw each can contains over 1000 mg sodium, making it very high sodium. I have a propensity for forming calcium oxalate kidney stones, so I will no longer be able to eat this item.
I wanted to try a pre-made tuna salad that I could just toss into my bag for lunch. I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with this product. I didn't go in with any expectations, but I didn't enjoy eating this. The can was mostly filled with cous cous, which I normally really like, but I guess the way this was packaged made the cous cous a little soggy and chewy. The flavor was also very bland. I ended up using a lot of black pepper to give it flavor because I really couldn't eat it as-is. The tuna has a good flavor and texture, and it tastes like good quality fish, but the rest of the salad put me off. I bought two, so I'll have to douse the second one in hot sauce or something.
the presentation looks like high quality cat food. the ingredients are layered so you have to do your own mixing. even sitting at the bottom with all the moisture, the tuna is still dry. is this container supppsed to be reusable? if not, im sure this isnt sustainable for the environment. i was excited and ready to try the other flavors but i think ill pass.
