Very fragile. It half broke when I opened it, just the second time I tried to use it. It still works okay on small uncoated pills, but won't cut anything with a shell. If the pill is scored, you have to line it up perfectly with the blade, and it's too small to get fingers into where the pill sits, so that's hard to do.

This design is terrible. This pill cutter turns most of my pills into crumbs. It works once in a while if you are lucky but then the split pills will fall into the back of the cutter case and you have to dig them out. I thought this design would be great because there are actually two different holders to place the pills as you cut them but I am really unimpressed. The previous pill cutter I purchased was around $2 half the price of this one but it works like a charm. I purchased this Equate pill cutter as an extra to keep in the car for emergencies so it's fortunate that I don't actually need it.

The overall design of the pill slitter is great. As you close the lid the pill holder, holds the small pill in place. The pill doesn't move as you close the lid, but when you press down to cut the pill the pill doesn't cut cleanly. What you get is one half cut cleanly and the other half is broken into smaller pieces. I don't believe that I'm not getting the recommend one half dose by my doctor.

I used it one time to cut a pill and it broke. I know it wasn’t an expensive one, but I still thought it would cut a pill. I won’t waste money on another one. I am usually very satisfied with everything I order from Walmart except when they have FedEx delivery

I would not waste your money on this. You can’t see your pill and so you can’t center it in the pill divider. You get one side big and the other side just shrivels. There is no way to know if you have the pill inserted correctly . It is not efficient and you lose a portion of every pill .it is very annoying and aggravating. I wish I still had the wrapping that it was in. I would definitely take it back.

It doesn't work at all!!!. When trying to insert a pill, you have to struggle to close the top to cut the pill and when you cut the pill, it doesn't cut the pill in half - you might get 1/4 or 1/3 of the pill on one side . I tried it on two different size pills but got the same result on each of them. I would not recommend buying this cutter. A waste of money.

I've gotten one of these every few years for the past 8 years now, and this one was TERRIBLE. It did NOT cut my pills, it SHATTERED my medication!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Now I'm down 2 less pills because after a 2nd time I was NOT gonna do this again. My medications are LIFE SAVING so BEWARE if you are in the same boat and DO NOT BUY THIS ANYMORE!!!

I DO NOT recommend buying this product. It is very awkward to use, hard to get open and also hard getting the pills out. There is no clean cut. I had slivers off of every pill. I have several pills to split and I tried this without success. It was the ONLY one " in store" when mine broke so I added it to my online grocery pickup order. It is sad that it was the only one I had to pick from that didn't need shipped to me...and that $35 minimum order thing. I will check elsewhere. I suggest you don't waste your money on this product!

I regret that I didn't read the One Star reviews before buying this pill cutter! I have been using old fashioned pill cutters for nearly 10 years and buying a new fashion one was on my list of things to buy because my hands have been less steady. At the time I chose this one, it appeared to be a great fit for my needs. However, the first day I opened and used it was about 10 days after I received it and WOW😳, What A Nightmare 😭. It wouldn't cut any of my medications in half. Every size and every thickness I tried would end up cut to be more like 2/3 %26 1/3 on the small pills and then on the larger and thicker pills it gave me one side as a correct 1/2 and the other side a bunch of small pieces. Another negative is that once you cut a pill, you have to try to figure out how to remove it without the pieces falling into what I can call "No Man's Land ". Today I called Walmart Customer Service to request a refund because when I submitted a request online, the system advised me it wasn't able to be processed and provided me the number to call. The phone automated system prompted me and gave me 3 options to choose from to return it, however none of the choices were acceptable for me due to my disabilities and I don't have any means of dropping it off anywhere. So I was able to speak to a representative and I asked if Walmart was still offering to pick up returns that I noticed was something that they announced several months ago. He said he would submit a refund request with no need to return the item and that I would be receiving an email. It has been about 7 hours since that time and I have not received an email and the order doesn't reflect that a refund is in progress.

DO NOT BUY THIS! I needed a pill cutter for vitamin C, calcium, and multi-vitamin tablets. The lid would pop off its hinges, the flat guard to keep the pill in place kept coming off, and the side supports to keep the cutter straight didn't do that at all. One of them completely fell apart. Very Frustrating - find one of these somewhere else.
