Whomever is so desperate they're having to look at a product review for Gaviscon you have my sympathy. I see you, and your agony, and I implore you to see your doctor if you've gotten to the point that you need to use this stuff. Oh, and Get the Cherry one, not the Mint one, trust me.
recommended years ago specifically for my reflux, requiring dilatation of esophagus. this works quickly and help numb the burning from the back of my throat all the way down! worth the extra price for name brand, I like cherry cuz peppermint seems to aggravate burning to my throat and esophagus.
I have GERD and a sensitive esophagus that produces excess mucus, so I have attacks if hacking up for sometimes hours. Only Gaviscon soothes my esophagus to stop triggering the mucus and also help my GERD
Never tried, i get it because i had a frequent heartburn and totally amazed by the fast action of this product. It numb your mouth and esophagus for better relief. Not recommend the mint flavor
Great numbing feature for gerd. Only drawback is price and availability. The mint flavor works but the taste isnt that great. Always sold out at Meijer. Amazon price is absurd. Walmart was significantly cheaper.
Long-term use of antacids can cause unfortunate side effects, it's always good to talk to your doctor and find out what your personal options are. I produce too much stomach acid and Gaviscon liquid is the Best OTC liquid antacid. (Gaviscon tablets are no better than Tums.) Liquid Gaviscon gives instant, or near instant relief, from heartburn and the referred pain that comes with it. I also use bicarbonate of soda in water (with a bit of sodium alginate added to make it raft) in combination with Gaviscon, but not necessarily at the same time, this combination has kept me off of prescription antacids so far.
It works Decent on heart burn but MAN does It taste terrible. I thought this one would be better than the mint and it's far worse and almost tastes like drinking metal
GAVISCON has two antacid components w MYLANTA and MASLOX only one. But GAVISCON was gritty. I did not like the cherry flavor at all. Have not tried the mint.
The Gaviscon Extra Strength Liquid Antacid for Heartburn Relief, Cherry, 12 oz taste nasty!! I accidently ordered the cherry flavor online order instead of mint flavor☹️ Wouldn't buy again!
This product didn't do anything for me. It might help someone with acid reflux, which I don't have.
