I was so excited to see chicken feed at my local Walmart. I checked the ingredients and this feed is similar to the farm store and it's a few dollars cheaper. For this particular feed, you want to feed it as a regular feed to your growouts and older birds that aren't laying. You can feed it to layers, just add oyster shell or calcium supplements. Your roosters can get heart and liver issues by feeding layer feed with high calcium so this is perfect for them. It's also good for those of us with multi species flocks. This works for chickens, ducks, turkeys, and game birds. It's more convenient than buying a bunch of separate bags of feed and trying to feed them separately. I've been feeding this brand from Walmart for several months and my birds are very healthy. As a breeder and someone that shows my birds, it's important that they are in good condition. It's even more important that they actually like the feed and don't waste it. They love it and are maintaining their weight perfectly. I recommend it to all of my breeder friends.

My two ducks really seem to like this brand. They dive right into it when I feed them. I have zero complaints and neither do they . Happy Duck's here.

I have been using MG Layer pellets but was unable to get to the feed store so, I purchased this. After a week I noticed the egg shells are much nicer the chickens eat it as well as the MG but, I think this is an upgrade for my gals.

My Ducks love this Healthy Choice Niacin fortified food. I have tried many other brands but they seem to like this one the best Free shipping with orders over $50 or with Walmart Credit card. Just wish our local Walmart would keep it in stock

I especially like that Walmart delivers the 40 lb bag right to the door. It is much easier then going in the store and picking up the bag and loading it in the car. The chickens and the ducks like to eat it .

my chickens ate it ok. can't blame the food it smelled and looked good they are just picky eaters. still would buy again if needed and just mix with other food

Sorry, my chickens don't like this much, and I had to add milk and grain to get them to eat it. It helped me out when I couldn't get to town, but I won't get this again. I'll try the soy-free next time, see if they will eat that better

This was something I DID NOT WANT, I was having trouble with my Internet connection so I called customer service for help to put "healthy harvest brand 16% layer pellets for chickens" into my cart before sending my order which also contained several bags of cat food. I specifically said it was an item I purchased many times and it costs roughly $16 a bag. Instead they sent this costing almost $40, a waste, I can't use it, they WOULD NOT take it back, I don't have ability to return it to a store (I'm 70 and disabled). The box never opened. I fed the chickens cat food until I could get, a friend to submit an order for me. I now have 2G Internet per month and have been able to get some of what I usually get, which my and the feral chickens I feed seem to like.

sour crop in chickens after giving this brand of feed. First %26 LAST time purchase. Poor feed quality. Removed this feed, treated chickens. No further reoccurrence. But not inti.e yo save one - my favorite hen died 😢
