(2 pack) Hyper Tough 16-Quart Automotive Drain Pan Container

My husband purchase this for oil changes since we had a smaller unit before. He said this will hold more oil and be easier to dispose of the oil. He liked the shape and size of it. Said it was good quality design. He is happy with the pouring spout and sturdiness of the pan.

Smartly made drain pain with 3-gallon capacity - works great with my Dodge Cummins diesel oil change. Has a separate vent hole for pouring and a tab for storing the center drain plug when removed. Emptying is easy - regulated enough to pour the old oil BACK into a gallon or 5-qt oil container to return to seller. I will suggest that the drain pan be stored out of sunlight between uses. Oh, and the price is right. It's a good value for your do-it-yourself vehicle maintenance.

The 16 quart drain pan is awesome! It has a plug where all the oil goes in and you put the plug back on and then you could take the oil somewhere to get rid of it. All you have to do is unscrew the cap and pour it into the oil collection drum. It was super easy, easy to wipe down and clean after I used it. It did not make a mess. I was very pleased. It was even a little windy and I was worried that oil was going to blow all over but it's the perfect width and everything to catch. I was super pleased! I would definitely recommend this to anybody even with the smaller cars. It would still be a perfect fit. I love the fact that you can transport the oil in the pan and not spill it, compared to the other pans. I am just super impressed and pleased with my purchase!

This drain pan container is priced well, especially when considering its large capacity. I was looking for one that would arrive quickly, had a large capacity, and would be inexpensive. This one fit that list of requirements. When unpacking it, I immediately noticed that the build quality was low. The covers didn't fit well and I was concerned that the item would leak once I used it to drain my transmission, but surprisingly it held up to the 6 quarts (or so) that I had drained into it. It's nicely designed, with a small, closable, vent hole as well as the large drain hole, designed to prevent larger items from falling in, and the large main cover which is used to empty the unit. It was easy to use, and empty, and seems sturdy. It was also easy to pour the oil transmission fluid out into another container due to the large main cover and the handle placement.

Bought a different one of these the 8qt and it was terrible. I would have to get a bottle and stop the oil flow for a while or it would overflow in my driveway from not draining fast enough. This one is way deeper in the catch area and it handled a full 6qts from my suburban with zero issues. the little area for the plug does let it get completely soaked on the oil though so maybe a raised bump on the next version. Held two full changes before I took the used oil to my mechanic to dump and had plenty of space left. No leaking during upright storage outdoors for 4 months between oil changes too. Don't get the smaller one get this one and you won't have problems. Or the cheapo 3 dollar big dish with a spout is better than the 6qt one. It made a giant mess.

Absolutely terrible quality. I filled this up with dirty engine oil, and slid the plastic along the ground. This is the first time it was ever used. Because the plastic was so thin right in the corner sliding the plastic along the ground created a hole in my dirty engine oil leaked out all over. The product is useless and defective

07/26/26. Hyper tough 16qt drain pan. First thing I do is test the container before I use it, fill with water to test if it leaks. Well, I am so glad I did test it. It leaks from the large cap used to empty the container. It leaked when placed on its side simulating using it for an oil change. It leaks through the cap. It was tight. There is no gasket/seal from the factory. Also, the vent cap/tube was not insert all the way in, another leak point. Good thing water is easier to clean up than oil. Do not recommend this. If you do buy it, test it first for leaks.

The price was good. It worked great for a drain pan. I was happy with until I capped it off and set it up on end with the old used oil. It left a puddle of oil on the floor. I thought it was user error until I found that one of the seams in the bottom had 1 inch long leak. It made a mess where ever it sat. Good design just poor quality control on the making of the product. I read someone else mentioned the same issue in another review 🫤

I don't know who came up with this design, but this pan is really inconvenient. The top part is too shallow, so the liquid doesn't drain properly and tends to splash because of the shallow shape. If the top part were deeper, it would be better. As it is, it's completely useless.

The item arrived missing the vent screws. I contacted customer support hoping they would send the missing hardware, but the only solution offered was to return the entire item for a refund. This was very inconvenient and poor customer service for what should have been a simple fix. I would not recommend this seller and suggest looking elsewhere to avoid wasting your time.
