It may be harder to hold both tools in position and push them in than the 7 piece kit that has T-grips on both the rasp and needle tool, but wearing work gloves helps alleviate that and prevent chafing by allowing a firmer grip. I can see how it would be tough to push the rasp in if the hole is too small, in which case you may still be able to make just enough space for the plug to fit, but otherwise I think this kit would work for any puncture that could be fixed properly with the standard patch and plug combo. You might be able to get by just fine with a plug, and even almost certainly will, but a trip to a Walmart auto service center, if you have one nearby, is pretty ideal if you don't want to take any chances, especially if it's a newer tire.

Great price. Just needed the 2 plugs without paying 10 bucks. If you got a heavy duty type tire these tools are a little hard to use because the handle doesn't have the T grip this is just straight up and down. Have pliers and a hammer to push and pull the things out or have a super grip. But all and all it done the job

Pay a little more and get the one with the T-Handles

For the price it works as you expect, tool is cheap and will break if you use it on an adult size tire.

The handle is very difficult to use because it is not T-shaped and there's just not much to hold onto. Definitely worth paying a few extra bucks for a T-shape handle and having a tube of rubber cement included for ease of application.

Cheap quality. The tool to create the hole is hard to push through. Ultimately, the plug did not hold and I had to get the tire patched professionally.
