I like that I don't have to change a battery! I haven't had these very long, so I can't attest to the lifespan, but so far, they seem to work. I haven't had any weird chirps or anything like what I'd get from other alarms, so that's a plus!

So glad the smoke detectors have a long battery life. They are as described and arrived on time. Would recommend.

easy to install, fit with my old firex bracket, just had to re do the little wiring packet it came with.

Bought a pack of 2. They look good enough, tested out OK. They weren't hard to install. But- One was a replacement for existing but different Smoke Alarm. Th mounting base of this Smoke alarm only has 2 holes for 2 screws, and they didn't match up to the holes already in the ceiling, which would've made the install super easy. The one I took off had a selection of holes that would've allowed it to fit the existing screw placement of any Smoke Alarm. It would've been nice if the base on this one was designed the same way. I doubt I'll remember to go back and update this review to say how well the 10 year battery lasted.

This 2024 unit is supposed to have a 10 year life. The fault alarm woke us up in the middle of the night, and then switched to the smoke alarm signal. Obvious false alarm- We have 4 other alarms in the house that did not go off. Had to disable it to stop the alarm.

Less than a year and smoke alarms keep going off. I had these new alarms installed when I installed my new HVAC system and now 2 out of 4 keep going off. Horrible thing wont work when trying to reset or see how to replace the battery because you can't.

I need to delete the other review as I thought that was the correct alarm but this is the correct alarm. This alarm woke up our family the other night scaring us so badly! Not just once did the alarm go off falsely In the middle of the night but twice! Please do better! Upon seeing other reviews there's a pattern here! We don't need ppl assuming the alarm is a false alarm, time is of the essence when it comes to fire being fires double in size every 3 minutes! Please please look into this do a recall something!

False alarm too many times. This alarm has gone off multiple times in the middle of the night and won't shut off with a push button. No other alarm does this in the house. For the expense to be safe is important but to be faulty and not able to shut off with a push even going outside is disappointing.

FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO LAST 10 YEARS ...THIS IS TERRIBLE...IT LASTED A FEW MONTHS AT MOST.
