Kidde Fire Extinguisher for Kitchen, Residential, Single-Use, 711A

It's a fire extinguisher. I assume it will work but I'm not going to use it to see if it works or how good it is until there is a fire. Which hopefully there will never be.

It's a fire extinguisher. What else do you want? Nice that it's white for the kitchen (pretty sure that's standard) but this was definitely the best price. If you don't have a few, get it taken care of. Can't believe how many homes don't have these.

Funny story, I had to discharge mine on an outdoor shed rather than the kitchen because it had randomly caught fire from an electrical issue. This small extinguisher was actually a pretty decent help during the wait for the fire truck to make it out. Will be purchasing another to keep in the kitchen again, haha. Also a good size, convenient to keep under the kitchen sink.

Ideal size for our outdoor kitchen. It comes with a mounting bracket that is easy to install, and doesn't take up a lot of room. Overall a very well made product. I highly recommend.

The Kidde Kitchen Fire Extinguisher is designed for small fires that one might encounter in the kitchen. This extinguisher uses a dry chemical for gas, oil, grease, or electric fires. Size: 15" tall (about the size of a wine bottle) Fits: The size allows this to fit conveniently in most places: Under counter cabinet, Slid into a bottle storage triangle Not too heavy to easily attach it to the wall or cabinet with the plastic mounting bracket that is included. Weight: weighs around 4 pounds, Handle: the handle is easy to pull (I have small hands and could grasp to pull without problems.) The handle design makes it easy to operate with one hand. The safety pin is easy to pull out. The safety pin actually fell out when I tilted the extinguisher. No problem - I just returned the pin back into its hole. To me, this means not a huge struggle with the pin in an emergency. Like most home extinguishers we have had in our home over the years, this is a one-time use fire extinguisher. The label says: - contents will last up 12 years unused. The pressure gauge is easy to see clearly and shows if the contents are still under pressure. - uses a nontoxic and noncorrosive chemical (so it should not damage the stove.) - special nozzle is designed to minimize splashing when using on stovetop fires. Instructions included. While the writing on the box itself is in English and Spanish, the instructions on the extinguisher itself are only in English. After our neighbor's home burned down from candle oil catching fire, we are extremely even more sensitive to safety. While we have not had to use this product, thankfully, I believe it will be highly easy to use in case we do need it! I like how easy this extinguisher is to operate to extinguish oil, grease, or kitchen fire. My spouse thinks this extinguisher could also go into / be useful the garage. I like to also keep an extinguisher by the grill outside.

I've always felt Kidde products were top rated and this one lives up to that. Good quality. Easy to handle. Fits in a cupboard in my kitchen easily.

like the mounting bracket . brackrt is a little too short. Since the bracket came with the extinguisher, would it have bankrupted you to include 2 small screws. I had to drive to the local hardware store and purchase 8, just to get 2.

it's perfectly fine if you get a full one, but as someone else commented, mine arrived virtually empty, so I have to add to the cost by getting it refilled. seems like it's a regular practice with this manufacturer. the size and look are fine, but in an emergency it's useful to have a full tank. otherwise, why bother?
