We eat a lot of pickles. I ordered these by mistake, thinking I ordered baby dills. At first, I was annoyed, then I realized that these were really great pickles! Great price too. This is my second time buying these in 2 months!
This item does not overdo the vinegar or the garlic. I find that smothering "pickel -preparation- ingredients" with too much garlic and vinegar can upset your stomach and produce lots of gas! The herbs need to blend for a unique and wonderful taste. These pickels are easy on your teeth.
You know? I've been SO disappointed multiple -times now trying to find tasty, crunchy, well-brined DILL pickles. I've tried the ones “in the refrigerator section” the stork used to boast about; I've tried other well known brand names; even shelled out ridiculous money for the “top shelf boutique” brands. Disappointment every time. Always soft, some were mushy, and/or lacked in flavor. I decided to try the Mt Olive® Dill Chips to get my kosher pickle fix. These fit the bill. Perfect compromise. Everything I expected from a brined cucumber in wedge-cut chips. I vacillated whether to buy such a large quantity as they came as two-64oz. glass jars (and very well-packaged for shipment, I might add). “No way will I get through that jar before they expire!” I said. Guess what~they are this household's favorite snack. (Move over popcorn!) Bottom line (because that's what matters)—great product, great value; I will say, they did take considerably longer to arrive than most items I've ordered online (that were not stocked in my local Walmart® store). Maybe 12-days … two weeks … it was a while, comparatively. BUT WORTH THE WAIT. Not even remotely disappointed. The other thing I might mention is, the 64 oz jar is 8 ⅜in tall. Mentioning only because I had to replace my fridge in the interim, and the new fridge has fixed shelves (non-adjustable). It's a bit tricky taking them out of the appliance and placing back inside. Feels like I scratch the glass shelf sometimes with textured har bottom. For what it's worth, Mt Olive® brand Baby Gherkins (sweet petites) and the Organic Bread %26 Butter pickles are tops on my list also. I've never gone wrong buying this brand, and at Walmart® prices, it's a WIN / WIN! Lastly, the label reads “Kosher…” but I find no identifying certification printed. In searching online, the answer given was “Yes, they are kosher.” A pickle is a pickle! Ref link: https://oukosher.org/companies/mt-olive-pickle-company-inc/
They dissapear as fast as I buy them. Perfect flavor- family loves them
Perfect for burgers and sandwiches
Pickle recipes ..closures if you got it
These pickles are delicious. perfect for snacks and burgers
I'm not a fan of the taste. They are okay for as cheep as they are, but I've had better so I guess I am just spoiled. Hubby loves these but they are not as crisp as other brands I've had either. So for two reasons I personally am only giving them 3 stars. For the price I guess you can't go wrong if you are some place that sells hot dogs or burgers and want to give free pickle chips, but even the spears are going to taste the same they are not as garlicky as I like and have this weird taste I can not describe that I don't care too much for.
ordered 2 of hamburger dill chips and received one dill chip and one sweet relish. Don't like sweet relish.
No taste or seasoning in the jar. I emailed and called Mt Olive but no response. Won't buy again
