Fresh from the garden with the sweet/sour taste. The light syrup makes the rhubard like my mom used to prepare it. I don't bother with a pie crust which would smother the fresh flavor. This can be served with vanilla frozen yogurt for a healthy dessert.
I love Oregon canned rhubarb. It's a great product, and I buy several cans of it when I can find it here in Alabama. I also order online and buy Goosberrys.
I had never tried canned rhubarb. It worked well in a pie for thanksgiving when I couldn't find fresh or frozen. it was in light syrup which i rinsed off and it worked
Excellent but Oregon fruits have put in a can again after some challenging times. Excellent taste excellent value for money thank you Walmart thank you Oregon fruit fruits.
I used this in the congealed rhubarb salad that is our family tradition for holidays finstead of the fresh rhubarb I've always used. The salad turned out perfectly and “saved “ Thanksgiving this year!
Only one problem with the 8 cans I ordered. One can had been wiped clean of it "Use By Date" and I'm a nut about using things up, oldest ones first. I wrote an email to the manufacturer trying to figure the date out by the production code on the bottom of the can but they never answered my email.
The two cans I ordered were both dented. The rhubarb inside the cans were okay. I made a strawberry rhubarb compote with it that turned out okay. But I think next time I will use frozen or fresh.
I have not sure what I was expecting. I was excited to try something different as far as canned fruits. Though this just tastes like texture with simple syrup. I didn't taste much flavor wise. I don't understand the appeal.
I love Rhubarb… I can eat it right off the plant fresh ! But this item doesn't taste ANYTHING like rhubarb. It's just awful. The texture isn't right either. I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn't this. I threw it away after tasting .i do not recommend.
i never received it. inpaid for it it was supposed to be delivered and never was. this was the 2nd ti.e I tried to order it. please dont offer a product that you can not supply
