I grew up with Wolf brand Chili and have always thought it was a little too thick. Then I discovered this homestyle version which was better for my liking=even with the beans! I like to mix a can of the homestyle chili with enchilada sauce to pour over homemade enchiladas. You can even add a can of diced tomatoes and enjoy with shredded cheese, crackers and a little sour cream!
This is our go to canned chili. It tastes like homemade. We have been buying this for years and it never fails to satisfy. We use it in casseroles and in homemade cheese dip. We make walking tacos with a bag of corn chips. Easy to heat in microwave for a bowl of chili with crackers. It tastes so good. Can't go wrong with this brand and the price is on point too.
This chili is rich, hearty, and full of classic homestyle flavor. The beans and meat are well balanced, and it heats up thick and satisfying every time. It's perfect on its own, over a baked potato, or poured over hot dogs. The 22g of protein per serving is a nice bonus, making it a filling and convenient meal option. Great taste, dependable quality, and always a solid choice for a quick, comforting meal.
Just live this chili. Being single I hate preparing a giant pot of chili like I used to but this 1 can makes it so that I don't have to. I just add tomatoes to it and were good to go.
This chili was my first time eating it and I have to admit it was yummy for the tummy!! I plan on buying it again!! And the price is right especially when on a budget and fixed income!! Thank you!!
I have always loved Wolf Brand Chili, but since moving to the Pac Northwest I cannot find it stocked locally, so I ordered it from Walmart on-line and had a dozen cans within a few days. Now, I am a happy camper again! I just wish it was stocked here locally.
Excellent chili, plenty of flavor, a slight tiny bit of spicy but only a really sensitive person might dislike. Has some reddish oil floating on the top of the can when opened, probably a mix of chili and tomato oil. Mix it around some before you start serving. Hoping to try the Spicy and No Beans versions once they arrive. Reordering a bunch more of this version too!
Don't be fooled by the picture on the can. I posted a picture of what it really looks like. Flavor is okay but it's mostly water. Any meat, vegetable or bean in it is tiny. It makes it very hard to put on a cracker which is how I like to eat chili. Again, flavor is okay so it might be what you're looking for. Not for me, though.
I expected a lot more from this Chile, just a few beans.. it was too runny more than anything i will never order it again!!.the taste was just ok..I believe Great Value was better!
It was a runny, soupy, weird tasting mess...Maybe I had expectations of it tasting like the regular Wolf brand chili, but, this homestyle sure isn't homestyle style!!! Will NOT buy again!!!
