slightly smaller size, still requires cleaning
overall the product works well, most of the time it is able to pick up solder without additional flux, which is nice. however, there are a few issues with the advertised properties, the product is advertised as 5 feet, but the actual length (as indicated on the packaging and in the photos) is 1.5 meters, which is about an inch short of 5 feet. not a huge deal, but a little misleading. might be important depending on your intentions for using the product. furthermore, the wick should not be used without cleaning as it is advertised. the flux residue (while minor, it is still there) does cause some rust when uncleaned compared to when cleaned. i did a small test and slight oxidation was evident after a few days on the uncleaned section of the test PCB. again, not a huge deal but it could potentially lead to undue damage to parts.

The wick is too narrow for use with anything larger than a microcircuit.
