1) I haven't burn myself yet, cause the design, low prop at preheat the tip is up the rest of the iron isn't cooked from upward heat and the blinking light. 2) weirdly fast preheat and love the dial 3) Accessable Replaceable tips 4) has yet to oxidize , 5) Maintainable, interchangeable parts
It is a good buy for the price range. Not a top quality for someone who does electronic repair daily, but will be very usefull for hobby or occasional use. Produces a good amount of heat and comes with a lot of accessories. I haven't had this for very long(1 use currently), but it seems that it will last for a good many years.
It works correctly. The cord is super duty and occasionally too bulky. The iron is great, although the indicator light is counter-intuitive, solid is heating, blinking is usable.
Nice adjustable soldering iron that easily adjusts from 346 degrees F to 896 F easily solders 16 ga. down to 22ga. with no effort. Please allow iron to fully heat before soldering wires together.
Used this as a replacement for a smaller wattage pencil style iron. Adjustable heat range with a selection of tips. Just need a touch n the project is completed and solid without risk of damaging adjacent items because of long heat transfer issues.
I know this is an incentivized review but honest to all things good in this trashcan of a world.. THE GOAT soldering iron. I've taken up electrical engineering in recent years, literally burning through dozens of cheap irons and a couple higher end irons (..cough*Weller*) but this has been a solid staple in my tinkering kit for months. The ONLY thing I might suggest for future iterations of this model would be it's power button.. move it just a teeny tiny bit away from the LED indicator or swap their positions. Seriously, a dope little 60w with the sawed off barrel, *chefs kiss*
Fantastic soldering iron for under twenty bucks. It heats up quickly and the temperature is adjustable. The LED indicator is a nice touch to let you know when the heat has reached your desired set point. I use it for work to primarily replace potentiometers on pallet stretch wrappers. It stows away well in my tool pack.
This soldering iron is a lot better then what they first had. It's definitely an upgrade and a solid tool. The one thing which isn't too bad is the thick wire. I don't use it long enough for it to straighten out. I leave it hanging so its not curled everywhere when in use. It got the job done and worked well.
very stiff power cable makes it difficult to rotate and orient the iron for the tips you're working with. the stand is minimal and it easily tips over or falls off, partially due to the unmaleable cable. that being said, it's one of the quickest heating irons I've ever used.
I purchased this item and used it same day. it's not heating properly and doesn't melt resin properly to fix to part. I was only able to use this product once and it barely worked then. The tip or whatever is put on at a slight tilt. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED with this product especially at the price and want a refund or some kind of replacement. as of right now it makes for a better paperweight than it does a solder. 100% dissatisfied. I needed a solder and most things I buy are decent this one is not one or it was just a poorly put together product fall from the front factory. does not properly he takes forever to heat and does not melt resin at all please replace or send me a refund or something
