These are charcoal filters presumably made expressly for Cuisinart, but may fit other machines. Charcoal filters filter water, what else can you say about them except you don't have to change it every 15 days as recommended, I've gone as long as approx. 3 months before changing with no discernable difference in taste. But most important of all is, the 2 dozen pack. is cheaper than the 1 dozen pack, that's a no brainer.

These filters are individually wrapped in plastic and seem to be the same material & appearance as the original that came in my Cuisinart coffeemaker. The cost per filter was much less than the Cuisinart brand. They arrived in a reasonable time frame.
