My husband and I both love this brand of can salmon. According to the label, it is wild caught in Alaska, and is processed in Seattle. So it is a great product of the USA! It has a mild flavor, and is delicious right out of the can. For lunch, I do enjoy making a fish salad with it, using only a spoonful of plant-based mayo mixed with a small amount of orange marmalade. Then I have it with toasted whole grain bread. Yum!
I made salmon balls with it, it was good quality for a good price and was skinless. I fried the patties consisting of salmon, onion, celery, 1 egg, mayo, bread crumbs. YUM Wish it was sold in my local WalMarts but it is a online order only thing I guess, but will buy again!
I just started eating this brand and I must say that I am very pleased. The salmon has a good taste, aroma and consistency. I enjoy eating it right of the can with olive oil, onions and chopped up garlic. I usually have a salad and saltines on the side. Yummy! A light and healthy lunch for under $5.00
Love this Boneless Pink Salmon for dinner sometimes when I don't want to elevate my blood sugar before bedtime. I also have it with some cherry tomatoes. In the morning my blood sugar is right where I need it. Doctor says it has to much salt, and so I don't do this all the time. Still love it though!
Finally found a nearby Walmart with plenty of these in stock. Although I prefer Black Top's canned sockeye salmon, it has gotten expensive so I switched to their pink salmon. Fortunately it's wild caught and has minimal added ingredients (water, salt). What I didn't expect is the color and odor of the fish is very similar to albacore tuna. I read this is how canned pink salmon should be. I bought many cans and enjoy 1 per day with a hard boiled egg -it makes a nutritious snack/meal.
The price is competititive at the time of purchase. The can is tapered and does not fit in my electric can opener but a hand opener works. The quality of the salmon seems good, tender as with most canned fish, and no bones. It is chunk salmon. The color is not bright but it is satisfactory as an upgrade or change from canned tuna. I bought ten cans at the sale price and they did not charge me shipping, it was delivery only at time of purchase. Cans were loose in the oversized box, some small dents but not bad.
There was almost as much liquid as salmon and the salmon was mushy %26 not tasty.
This item contains Sodium Tri-polyphosphate. Other brands that are wild caught and the same price do not contain this ingredient that is not needed and very unhealthy.
I ordered 2 cans of Red Sockeye Salmon and received 4 cans of Blk Top pink salmon! I would like to return these for a refund if I can’t wait for the Sockeye Salmon which I prefer personally ! Is it on backorder or available fr another Walmart? Advise…
The sodium on the website lists 170 mg. per serving. The sodium on the actual can lists 320 mg. per serving. Unacceptable.
