When we first changed out our sink several years ago, I selected a faucet that had a soap/lotion dispenser on it. I thought that would be so nice and, at first, I did like it. But as time went on it became a pain to refill and clean around. I was more than happy to get this Danco 1-3/4 inch Sink Hole Cover in Chrome to replace it. It was a cinch to install. I just needed someone to hold the top while I got under the sink and screwed on the nut. I think it looks fine and will be so much cleaner. I can actually get a sponge behind it easily. Like everything these days, it’s not the highest quality. It is completely plastic but you can’t tell it’s not actually metallic. Given its inactive purpose it will do the job nicely. Bonus: It won't rust!

This drain hole cover fits perfectly iny sink. I am not sure how durable it is but it sure looks nice. It looks better than the dish soap dispenser and fits tightly so I do not have to worry about water leaking under my sink.

I am waiting on getting the sink hole cover put in my sink, it’s the perfect size I just needed. I was keeping the hole plugged with a paper towel, so this came at just the right time!

I bought a new faucet for my kitchen sink. I no longer needed the sprayer hose that was connected to the old faucet. After I removed the old faucet, I had a gaping hole on the side of my sink. This covered the hole and now the sink looks good again.

First of all, it's plastic not metal, so the construction is cheap. The finish is chrome, but it's tolerable against a brushed nickel finish. The instructions tell you to use silicone under the cap and under the gasket. No. Use a well-kneaded roll of plumber's putty under the cap and sink surface. It helps if someone above is holding the cap still while it's being tightened under the sink because it will slide around while being tightened. It's functional, but cheap.

It was perfect for a while but after a month or so began to rust on the bottom and on my sink where it covered from occasional water getting on it and getting trapped under the top flat metal part. But for the money I’d say it was for the most part worth the time I got from it.

It would be nice if the stem were wider so it doesn't walk around in the hole when tightening. And very nice to have a second gasket to use on top instead of caulk. I didn't realize it is all plastic. It looks nice. We'll see how it performs after some time.
