this is definitely one to keep in your medicne cabinets. the relief it gives your skin from hives, chicken pox, shingles and other conditions is amazing and worth having it. puts a stop to the itch and allows drying and healing in a more comfortable less suffering way.

** ALL POISON IVY-OAK-SUMAC SUFFERS ** READ THIS.... My husband uses THIS Calamine Lotion every year when the weather gets warmer and Poison Ivy, Poison Oak %26 Poison Sumak are growing quickly. He is highly allergic to Poison Ivy %26 Poison Oak and his job requires him to be outside and around it daily. In the evenings he will take a shower then soak in a bath of Menthol %26 Eucalyptus Epsom salt ( wal-mart brand works great) and Dawn dishwashing liquid ( wal-mart brand works good). When he's done, he lightly towel dries and when he's dry he uses this Calamine Lotion on his arms, torso, legs, feet, face, wherever needed. He only uses it in the evening before bed, because he uses Iva-Rest by Bandaid brand during the day, Ivy-Rest is a miracle worker for covering and drying up pimples too. This Calamine is much cheaper than a name brand and works just a good, my husband qualifies as an expert! oh p.s. - he uses the Blue Dishwashing Liquid Soap because it literally binds to oils and dissipates them. The oils from the poison ivy, etc. are what spread it over your body and I use the soap in the Laundry as well to remove these oils from his work clothing and our bath towels. Just a little helpful hint to anyone suffering and can't find a solution. It's taken us years and years to find a solution for him, the terrible itching and sores would last 3 months and now the only last maybe 2 weeks. Good Luck to All.

added this to the home emergency med kit for those times when whatever you got into is making you pay for the privilege of trying to fight it, never fails when working outside you come across something and soon you are scratching helps to have it at home on the shelf ready to go.

The item works well and provides quick relief. I will say that I noticed it did not have a protective seal. However, there is nothing on the bottle that says you can't use it if you don't see a seal intact, which makes me believe that all of these will come with no seal. I do not necessarily mind this however I had to look it up to see if others had the same experience which they did so I just wanted to make a review to let others know as well. Anyway, it was very easy to apply this to a cotton ball and to apply to my child who is having trouble with mosquito bites. Great value for the price and size.

Bought CALAMINE lotion for relief from ANT STINGS.Lotion stopped ITCH immediately and dried stings in a day..I had ant stings on my feet which had been itching for 18 days.Nothing I tried gave relief.I finally remembered I had used this lotion in the past and it gave me instant relief..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND..Once it dries it stays on skin until washed away.

Works so well. I should have tried the clear one but this is helping a lot!! I developed a big rash on the back of my neck from using a new liquid body wash. This helps sooth the itching and does dry out my skin. But with a moisturizer added on top of it, it feels very nice. I let the calamine lotion dry first. Then add the moisturizer. It dries into a stark whitish color, so quite noticeable wherever it is added. But the more product I've applied has seemed to accelerate the healing of the rash on the back of my neck.

Less expensive than the name brand calamine lotion but it seems to be a little thinner than name brand in that it runs easily especially with the squeeze bottle top. Other than that it is great at providing relief for any skin condition that causes itching

I purchased this with a curbside order and found it wasn't sealed at all once we took it out of the bags. There wasn't a plastic seal on the outer lid and there wasn't a cap seal under the lid. I refuse to use it, knowing it could be contaminated. It also looked super runny and would clearly be difficult to apply. I will not be buying this again.

What was questionable to me is why did the bottle not come with a safety seal tab. I took off the cap to pull the safety seal tab and there was no tab. I will not use this product due to the safety and health concerns I have being a person with auto immune diseases, not a good call. Was the Calamine lotion opened by another consumer or just poor-quality control and safety practices? My, my what a shame.

i did not like that they substitute my clear lotion with the calamine pink. not happy at all and when i opened it to break the seal it was already removed not happy at all
