I'd been experiencing dry skin, eczema, and growing older gracefully. Yet, I could NOT find a product to relieve the dry skin and itching. This product turned out to be the best of all I had tried. And it never leaves the skin looking or feeling oily. LOVE THIS CREAM!!!
My doctor recommended this type of hand moisturizer and even suggested this store brand, as an alternative to the Eucerin name brand. This works great on dry skin and lasts for many hours. It's unscented, which I prefer anyway. When it's first applied, it has a slightly greasy feel, but goes away after several minutes.
I have used this for 20 yrs . Dr recommended Walmart generic eucerin for my daughter's eczema . It's such a difference from the name brand one . Less chemicals. Read and compare ingredients. The added ingredients literally made her skin “ burn” as she said . I started using as a face cream .. definitely hydrating and seeps in well .
I tell lots of people to use this. I use it for my face, body, and minor cuts. It helps tremendously with my dry skin. Years ago, I began using it, and my persistent acne disappeared. I never wear foundation anymore. My skin, and my children's skin glow when we use it. I haven't gone a day without Equate Therapeutic Dry Skin Cream in years. I make sure to bring a small container with me in my purse everywhere I go in case I need it. One more thing, it doesn't have any real scent, which I think is great.
I have extremely dry skin on my face. In the morning, when I apply the cream, I use a lot of the cream and this might first make it feel greasy. By the time I arrive at work and get out of my car, that greasy feeling is gone as the cream was absorbed by my facial skin and my face feels well moisturized. During the afternoon, my face gets dried out again and I reapply a little more of the cream. I also apply it to other dry skin areas, like the elbows, and the cream helps a lot.
As shown on the tub, compare if necessary. But I find it works very well. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. I'm a senior on a fixed income. This takes a big chunk of my monthly allowance when food also must be purchased. But I have skin issues that are kept in some check using this product.
While this product is comparable to much higher priced Eucerin, for my needs it is much better. It blends better on my skin so the absorption is better. I no longer purchase Eucerin, as this is my go-to item for winter skin. It is unscented so there is no clash with perfumes; it is non-greasy so it does not stain or damage fabrics. I have a jar at my office for dry hands. I use it day and night.
I purchased this product just a week ago; and am very optimistic about what it will do for me. I have tried many foot creams, skin conditioners, and other items that just plain did not work for me. This cream, which from what I have been told, is a more affordable version of Eucerin, and from just a weeks' use, my feet are really coming around from where they used to be, and believe me, was really nasty! Definitely recommend this product to others just because of the way it has cleared up my skin in just one week!!!
I do not have any type of skin issues other than hard water and therefore drier skin. I would not waste money on this. It did not perform as well as Eucerin. Some Equate items are great. Not this one in my opinion. I felt like it tried hard though. The appearance the scent even partially the way it goes on your skin seemed to mimic Eucerin. But it did not heal or moisturize like Eucerin. It was obvious this was a knock off if you will. You know how some knock off fragrances may mimic the more expensive fragrance just fine at first but it dies off and you realize it was not worth the money. It is like that. I do not even think it should be legal to sell mock products unless they have been clinically proven to work. Just get the original Eucerin on sale with Walmart Cash Back. It will be even cheaper than this and you know it will actually heal your skin. Give me a thumbs up if this helped. :)
Probably the worst cream I have ever used, and I have tried a lot for my very dry, sensitive skin. I normally like Equate products, but this one is a big no. It is thick, doesn't absorb well, and leaves u sticky. And, my dry skin was flaking after a few hours, so it didn't moisturize either.
