This wire is very good quality at a really nice price. I've been looking for this basic wire for use in my garage. I should have checked at Walmart FIRST!

This was a very good weight to hang a very large picture in our hall. I did have to use wire cutters on it so make sure you have a pair handy. I also used small pliers to tighten the wire. There's a lot in here so that is always good too.

FYI, lower Gauge %23 = Thicker Wire. So 16 Gauge is thicker than 24 Gauge. As for this product, I love the thickness and price. Quality is fantastic too.

very strong wire. You need to have a little bit of grip strength to twist it for picture hanging. ideal for using it to hang a heavy mirror.

the pictures shown of the wire is a multi-strand wire which is what i have used in the past. the product received is a single thick wire which is not as flexible.

The photo doesn't match what you get. Don't go by the photo like I did. The photo shows braided picture hanging wire, which is the normal flexible wire that's usually used for hanging framed pictures. You can usually cut braided picture hanging wire with regular scissors. What you get is galvanized steel wire that's more like a baling wire, that needs to be cut with metal cutters. I'll keep it because I use baling wire for other things, but this isn't suitable for the intended purpose of hanging pictures.

The only reason I purchased this it is supposed to have the cutter at the top left of the picture advertising the actual product. It does not have that cutter. The wire cannot be cut with scissors or anything less than a HD cutting tool, look at how thick it is. False advertisement and sad to trick me
